Elliday Studio LLCI designed this rocking whale for a couple expecting their first baby. Their style is a mix of modern and traditional with touches of Scandinavian style. I wanted to pull this danish-modern look into their nursery by designing a clean-lined modern take on the classic child's rocking horse. The whale body is made of high quality Baltic birch plywood with just a touch of color to accentuate the eyes and water spout.
Studio WherDecoCe bébé à venir, nous l'avons appelé Gauthier. Mais ses parents ne sont pas encore décidé sur le choix du prénom ;-). En tous cas, ils voulaient préparer au mieux son arrivée sur le thème de la nature et des animaux. La chambre de Gauthier sera l'ancienne chambre de leur grande sœur, pour laquelle nous avons également aménage un nouvel espace à l'étage supérieur sous les comble. WherDeco leur a proposé un zoning (plan 2D) pour disposer les différents mobiliers et éléments de décoration dans la pièce, puis une une shopping list avec tous les éléments à acheter pour créer ce petit cocon douceur.
Roots of NVCustom- made Nursery for under $1000 is possible!!! I spelt many sleepless nights overthinking the design concept and lout for my first born's nursery. I have always loved designing children's rooms and nurseries and now it was finally my turn and I had all the freedom I wanted to design it, minus the big belly getting in the way and a tighter budget!
Although we knew what we were having ( I don't know a designer who wouldn't want to know the sex!) I wanted to keep the room very neutral, and definitely no pink! The inspiration of this room was delivered obviously from over pinteresting countless nursery rooms, and I was always gravitating towards soft neutrals and subdle hints of colour. So I began my design layout and search for all the furniture and décor I needed.... Let me tell you it was not EASY! We didn't have a lot to spend on the nursery and given my taste, everything I came close to liking enough was from restoration hardware or pottery barn..... SOOO I decided to UPCYLCE and it turned out perfectly! Even better than I imagined!!! All the furniture minus the rocking chair was given to us for free and so I antiqued it all using chalk paint and distressed it. The rocker was not origionally a rocking chair, the chair is from IKEA and we went out and took off a swivel rocking base off an old ugly rocker and built it onto the bottom of the IKEA chair! (

Studio Eva MarieLors d’un emménagement, les chambres d’enfant sont souvent les premières pièces à refaire. Cela les aide en effet à s’approprier leur nouvelle maison.
Une chambre d’enfant, c’est un lieu qui doit rassurer et aider à faire grandir. De l’inspiration, de l’imagination, et beaucoup d’amour aussi !
J'ai aménagé cette pièce pour une petite fille qui aime la nature et le rose.
Le papier peint panoramique donne du style et de la profondeur à la pièce.
Il nous transporte dans un bel univers et donne le ton pour le reste de la décoration.
Les espaces sont pratiques et distincts même dans 11m². Il existe 3 zones dans cette chambre : une zone pour dormir, un zone pour ranger/jouer et une zone pour changer l'enfant.
Chaque type de meuble est adapté à un enfant.
Il n’y a pas de zone dressing. Celui-ci est situé à l’extérieur de la chambre.
Des matières naturelles ont été utilisée pour plus de sécurité. Les matières naturelles apportent beaucoup de douceur. Elles respectent la santé de l’enfant.
La peinture est une peinture écologique. Elle rejette un minimum de COV.
