Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris HomeLinda McDougald, principal and lead designer of Linda McDougald Design l Postcard from Paris Home, re-designed and renovated her home, which now showcases an innovative mix of contemporary and antique furnishings set against a dramatic linen, white, and gray palette.
The English country home features floors of dark-stained oak, white painted hardwood, and Lagos Azul limestone. Antique lighting marks most every room, each of which is filled with exquisite antiques from France. At the heart of the re-design was an extensive kitchen renovation, now featuring a La Cornue Chateau range, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances, custom cabinetry, and Waterworks tile.
St John DesignsFive foot electric fireplace inset into the wall. Surrounded by textured pine, stained dark blue. Each piece is separated by thin pine molding to tie into the natural wood ceiling.
RA Nelson LLCThis expansive 10,000 square foot residence has the ultimate in quality, detail, and design. The mountain contemporary residence features copper, stone, and European reclaimed wood on the exterior. Highlights include a 24 foot Weiland glass door, floating steel stairs with a glass railing, double A match grain cabinets, and a comprehensive fully automated control system. Fusion InteriorsThis used to be a sunroom but we turned it into the Dining Room as the house lacked a large dining area for the numerous ranch guests. The antler chandelier was hand made in Pagosa Springs by Rick Johnson. We used linen chairs to brighten the room and provide contrast to the logs. The table and chairs are from Restoration Hardware. The Stone flooring is custom and the fireplace adds a very cozy feel during the colder months.

Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris HomeThe design of this refined mountain home is rooted in its natural surroundings. Boasting a color palette of subtle earthy grays and browns, the home is filled with natural textures balanced with sophisticated finishes and fixtures. The open floorplan ensures visibility throughout the home, preserving the fantastic views from all angles. Furnishings are of clean lines with comfortable, textured fabrics. Contemporary accents are paired with vintage and rustic accessories.
To achieve the LEED for Homes Silver rating, the home includes such green features as solar thermal water heating, solar shading, low-e clad windows, Energy Star appliances, and native plant and wildlife habitat.

Drewett WorksDramatic in its simplicity, the dining room is separated from the front entry by a transparent water wall visible. Sleek limestone walls and flooring serve as a warm contrast to Douglas fir ceilings.
The custom dining table is by Peter Thomas Designs. The multi-tiered glass pendant is from Hinkley Lighting.

BARRETT STUDIO architectsThis is a quintessential Colorado home. Massive raw steel beams are juxtaposed with refined fumed larch cabinetry, heavy lashed timber is foiled by the lightness of window walls. Monolithic stone walls lay perpendicular to a curved ridge, organizing the home as they converge in the protected entry courtyard. From here, the walls radiate outwards, both dividing and capturing spacious interior volumes and distinct views to the forest, the meadow, and Rocky Mountain peaks. An exploration in craftmanship and artisanal masonry & timber work, the honesty of organic materials grounds and warms expansive interior spaces.
