Vintage Cellars - Luxury Custom Wine Cellars OCThis Walk in Custom Wine Cellar was featured in The Wine Spectator Magazine on November 30, 2010, in the "Bigger is Better" issue covering custom wine cellars. This beautiful showcase of a wine cellar has multiple rooms, with one wine room as well as a separate area for gathering and socializing with friends. The racking is all heart redwood, with many features throughout such as arches over mirrors and a custom archway, marble counter tops, tiered racking, bin storage, large format bottle storage, horizontal displays and more.
This 4000 bottle custom wine cellar built by Vintage Cellars boasts special lighting, a sound system, and tons of differentiated wine display areas. There are even areas for collectible wine labels, and wine art the owner has collected over time.
To build this modern wine cellar was quite a construction feat in itself. The 360 square foot wine room (social space separate) features granite countertops, redwood racking, honed copper slate, leaded glass, and sculpted iron railings.

Vintage CellarsThis recently completed wine cellar in Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego, California is great example that small can definitely be beautiful. The homeowners had a vision to redo their older, existing wine cellar - all the meanwhile keeping some of it’s original charm. The back wall of the original wine cellar / wine room was opened up, converting an adjacent closet into an additional room for the space. The rustic and traditional stone work and vertical diamond bins were kept to maintain the old world feel. Rustic works well in the luxury country estates throughout Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego, California. The team at Vintage Cellars created a beautiful and functional wine racking design in Poplar with a custom stain and finish to match the existing wine cellar aesthetics. The wine room also features high reveal display, room for case storage, and tiered coved trays for large format bottles.
Since 1990, Vintage Cellars has designed and built over 2,000 custom wine cellars in a wide range of styles and applications. Vintage Cellars offers a complete turnkey service (if needed), providing initial wine cellar design options, proper room preparation with vapor barrier and insulation, proper wine cellar cooling unit sizing and installation, wine racking fabrication with custom stain and lacquer options done in house, and final professional installation onsite. Innovative Wine Cellar DesignsWith rough-cut stone walls and a glass front, this wine cave combines old-world style with a traditional sensibility. It was a challenge to regulate the temperature, as we originally anticipated the cave would be cooler than it was. But, because this cellar is built directly into the Camelback Mountain, and not underground, the space was very warm. Our refrigeration team installed a cooling system to regulate the perfect temperature.

Safely holding standard 750mL wine bottles and magnum 1.5L bottles in the left column, this WineHive installation is a custom 10" depth and was left not anodized, as the owner wanted a "raw industrial" feel. It perfectly fills the wood enclosure and seamlessly contours around the AC unit. Notice the honeycomb floor tiles!
