Shannon Design Enterprises, Inc.This unique cabin began as an ordinary ranch house with a million dollar Lake Norfork view. The layout was chopped up with too small of kitchen and baths. One bath that served two bedrooms was only accessible through one bedroom. We valted all of the ceilings and finished them with wood. Only closing in the porch, we rearranged the entire house. It is not only dramatic, it is functional and full of excellent craftsmanship. Howard Shannon drew all of the plans.

K. N. CrowderThis second floor laundry room makes this chore soooo much easier than hauling to the basement.
Detail KitchensThe laundry area is located in the kitchen. It is concealed behind doors. It has a pantry to the left, the concealed washer and dryer area in the middle and a broom closet to the right.
Carter Fox Design BuildCarter Fox Renovations was hired to do a complete renovation of this semi-detached home in the Gerrard-Coxwell neighbourhood of Toronto. The main floor was completely gutted and transformed - most of the interior walls and ceilings were removed, a large sliding door installed across the back, and a small powder room added. All the electrical and plumbing was updated and new herringbone hardwood installed throughout.
Upstairs, the bathroom was expanded by taking space from the adjoining bedroom. We added a second floor laundry and new hardwood throughout. The walls and ceiling were plaster repaired and painted, avoiding the time, expense and excessive creation of landfill involved in a total demolition.
The clients had a very clear picture of what they wanted, and the finished space is very liveable and beautifully showcases their style.

The designer took space from a hall closet to not only accommodate a large capacity stackable washer and drying, but also to give the customer a large counter space and pantry.
