Connecticut Closet and ShelfWe just recently converted an unused bedroom into a combination guest bath/laundry room for a couple whose children are grown.
The left side of the room includes a storage cabinet, a folding counter with clothes hampers underneath and a build-in ironing board as well as a hanging section and a stackable washer and dryer. On the ride side is the toilet, sink and shower. It is not only a versatile use of space but because of its size, color and layout the owners also enjoy doing laundry now!
Boxwood AvenueDelve into the vintage modern charm of our laundry room design from the Rocky Terrace project by Boxwood Avenue Interiors. Painted in a striking green hue, this space seamlessly combines vintage elements with contemporary functionality. A monochromatic color scheme, featuring Sherwin Williams' "Dried Thyme," bathes the room in a soothing, harmonious ambiance. Vintage-inspired plumbing fixtures and bridge faucets above a classic apron front sink add an intentional touch, while dark oil-rubbed bronze hardware complements timeless shaker cabinets. Beadboard backsplash and a peg rail break up the space beautifully, with a herringbone brick floor providing a classic twist. Carefully curated vintage decor pieces from the Mercantile and unexpected picture lights above artwork add sophistication, making this laundry room more than just utilitarian but a charming, functional space. Blackline RenovationsHOMEOWNER DESIRED OUTCOME
As part of an interior remodel and 200 sf room addition, to include a kitchen and guest bath remodel, these Dallas homeowners wanted to convert an existing laundry room into an updated laundry/mudroom.
OUR CREATIVE SOLUTION
The original laundry room, along with the surrounding home office and guest bath, were completely reconfigured and taken down to the studs. A small addition expanded the living space by about 200 sf allowing Blackline Renovations to build a larger laundry/mudroom space.
The new laundry/mudroom now features a stacked washer and dryer with adjacent countertop space for folding and plenty of hidden cabinet storage. The new built-in bench with lockers features a v-groove back to match the paneling used in the adjacent hall bathroom. Timeless!
Courtney Thomas DesignWe reimagined a closed-off room as a mighty mudroom with a pet spa for the Pasadena Showcase House of Design 2020. It features a dog bath with Japanese tile and a dog-bone drain, storage for the kids’ gear, a dog kennel, a wi-fi enabled washer/dryer, and a steam closet.
