MossCreekMossCreek
A stunning mountain retreat, this custom legacy home was designed by MossCreek to feature antique, reclaimed, and historic materials while also providing the family a lodge and gathering place for years to come. Natural stone, antique timbers, bark siding, rusty metal roofing, twig stair rails, antique hardwood floors, and custom metal work are all design elements that work together to create an elegant, yet rustic mountain luxury home.

Working with a long time resident, creating a unified look out of the varied styles found in the space while increasing the size of the home was the goal of this project. Both of the home’s bathrooms were renovated to further the contemporary style of the space, adding elements of color as well as modern bathroom fixtures. Further additions to the master bathroom include a frameless glass door enclosure, green wall tiles, and a stone bar countertop with wall-mounted faucets. The guest bathroom uses a more minimalistic design style, employing a white color scheme, free standing sink and a modern enclosed glass shower. The kitchen maintains a traditional style with custom white kitchen cabinets, a Carrera marble countertop, banquet seats and a table with blue accent walls that add a splash of color to the space.

The Living Room is inspired by the Federal style. The elaborate plaster ceiling was designed by Tom Felton and fabricated by Foster Reeve's Studio. Coffers and ornament are derived from the classic details interpreted at the time of the early American colonies. The mantle was also designed by Tom to continue the theme of the room. camilleriparismode projects and design team were approached by the young owners of a 1920s sliema townhouse who wished to transform the un-converted property into their new family home. the design team created a new set of plans which involved demolishing a dividing wall between the 2 front rooms, resulting in a larger living area and family room enjoying natural light through 2 maltese balconies. the juxtaposition of old and new, traditional and modern, rough and smooth is the design element that links all the areas of the house. the seamless micro cement floor in a warm taupe/concrete hue, connects the living room with the kitchen and the dining room, contrasting with the classic decor elements throughout the rest of the space that recall the architectural features of the house. this beautiful property enjoys another 2 bedrooms for the couple’s children, as well as a roof garden for entertaining family and friends. the house’s classic townhouse feel together with camilleriparismode projects and design team’s careful maximisation of the internal spaces, have truly made it the perfect family home.
