An antique oak settee and small table, wrought iron floor lamps and antique metalware, with a new flatwoven rug in a traditional pattern, complete the effect.
Dan Davis DesignDan Davis Design designed custom built-in bookshelves for this small condo to display art and to house custom cowhide ottomans that can be pulled out for additional seating. BARRETT STUDIO architectsFollowing the Four Mile Fire, these clients sought to start anew on land with spectacular views down valley and to Sugarloaf. A low slung form hugs the hills, while opening to a generous deck in back. Primarily one level living, a lofted model plane workshop overlooks a dramatic triangular skylight.
NRC HOMESThe free-standing wood stove helps separate the living room from the dining room, while still allowing openness and flow. The owners heat their first floor primarily with hydronic heating embedded in the concrete floor, but the wood stove provides its own cozy warmth and light.
