12/12 Architects & PlannersThe back of this 1920s brick and siding Cape Cod gets a compact addition to create a new Family room, open Kitchen, Covered Entry, and Master Bedroom Suite above. European-styling of the interior was a consideration throughout the design process, as well as with the materials and finishes. The project includes all cabinetry, built-ins, shelving and trim work (even down to the towel bars!) custom made on site by the home owner.

Architectural SquaredMulberry Grove is a walk in neighborhood centered in downtown Moab. This residence is a ‘twin-home’ with the owner family living on one side and the smaller attached accessory unit is occupied by a renter. The community has very restrictive green building and design guidelines that resulted in a challenging design process that was exacerbated by a tight site due to an adjacent floodway.
Vision DesignThe bathroom had been sort of pieced together over multiple remodels over 75 years. Even thought the fixtures stayed virtually in the same locations, all the systems and materials were updated.
Iconic DesignsWe demoed the bathroom completely, adding in now flooring and tiles for the shower. Installed frameless Glassdoors for the shower. Removed the wall to wall mirror and added two make up mirrors with Led lights. In the middle we installed two cabinets that open in opposite directions, which add the asymmetrical design.
Mountainwood HomesThe floral tile on the back wall of the shower mimics the tile behind the tub. A variety of shapes of Shibusa tiles from Arizona Tile were used, with hexagon on the main floor and 2×2 basketweave on the shower floor.

We reused furniture where possible, sourced antiques and used sustainable products where possible, ensuring we combined deliveries and used UK based companies where possible. The result is a unique family home.
Tracey Stephens Interior Design IncThe bath was falling apart. The basic layout was fine but the proportions were all wrong, so the ceiling was lowered at the back half to create a human-scale ceiling height above the shower and toilet room.
The couple agreed on requirements but disagreed on look. He wanted bright bold colors. She wanted muted and calm. They were both happy with blue cabinetry and mosaic glass combined with neutral field tile. The steam shower features a 60” tall blue glass arched niche.
