Bailiwick Interior DesignUpgrading the bathroom in this client's circa 1950s home required thoughtful consideration of the small space available. Elements of the home that had once been considered "modern" were now outdated and no longer functional (like the over-sized medicine cabinets and small closets). But the homeowner's eclectic style allowed us to still incorporate some classic mid-century elements that paid homage to the home's age, while enhancing the functionality of the space. Using a floating vanity and a corner shower allowed us to fit everything into the small footprint AND give her a walk-in closet next door - something she would never have dreamed of before!

UserThis master bathroom renovation is a beautiful mixture of materials and styles. With waterjet cut floor tile comprised of marble and glass, a delicate damask pattern is created under your feet. The antique mirrored tile puts a luxurious spin on the standard subway tile look.
What do we love most about this project? -- The layers of mirrored elements make us feel like we are in our own version of Versailles!

Classic Kitchens, Etc.This eclectic design features graphite stained cabinets with a granite countertop and two undermounted, white sinks paired with oil rubbed bronze fixtures. The shower is tiled in a beautiful stone with multicolored pebble rock flooring, the top of the two benches are granite, the same as the countertop. The fixtures in the shower are oil rubbed bronzed too. The small wall for the tub fixture is tiled in the same stone tile as the shower walls, with oil rubbed bronze fixtures as well. To tie the whole bathroom together is the concrete styled flooring.
