AIBD - American Institute of Building DesignThe client’s coastal New England roots inspired this Shingle style design for a lakefront lot. With a background in interior design, her ideas strongly influenced the process, presenting both challenge and reward in executing her exact vision. Vintage coastal style grounds a thoroughly modern open floor plan, designed to house a busy family with three active children. A primary focus was the kitchen, and more importantly, the butler’s pantry tucked behind it. Flowing logically from the garage entry and mudroom, and with two access points from the main kitchen, it fulfills the utilitarian functions of storage and prep, leaving the main kitchen free to shine as an integral part of the open living area.

YesterTec Design CompanyHere is another kitchen that used Kitchen Workstation Furniture without hiding the 'hot' appliance. But look what they did. They framed the range with beautiful, useful pieces of furniture (nothing says 'furniture' like legs!!!) and treasured, beautifully displayed artwork. The entire wall composition is quite sculptural, very hard to do with continuous cabinets and counter tops.

Hedy Rogers, CKDShallow-depth wall cabinetry creates maximum use of minimal space, including elevated niche desk with chair (far left), pantry, shelving, and wine storage and beverage prep counter with integral lighting. The cabinetry created needed storage while preserving open circulation and space for the homeowner's desired kitchen island.
down2earth Interior Design, LLC. In this project, the homeowner was drawn towards the rustic and eclectic. Since the interior of the home they purchased had very little character of its own, our job here at down2earth interior design was to infuse it with a look that was lived-in and a little funky. From the antique glaze on the kitchen cabinets, to the leathered texture of the granite countertops, to the mixed metals and the industrial light fixtures, the kitchen is now overflowing with character. We especially love the worn-away look of the tile backsplash.

Sherman AssociatesA quaint cottage set back in Vineyard Haven's Tashmoo woods creates the perfect Vineyard getaway. Our design concept focused on a bright, airy contemporary cottage with an old fashioned feel. Clean, modern lines and high ceilings mix with graceful arches, re-sawn heart pine rafters and a large masonry fireplace. The kitchen features stunning Crown Point cabinets in eye catching 'Cook's Blue' by Farrow & Ball. This kitchen takes its inspiration from the French farm kitchen with a separate pantry that also provides access to the backyard and outdoor shower.
