… the SS Fallon Backstage. Guests chill out in a yacht cabin, get their hair and make-up finished in an captain’s chair and put their feet up on the pontoon boat lounger. Teak and holly paneling emotes a sunny boat deck glow, and the mirror portals open to secret “naughty”-cal views. A wall photo album gives each new visitor nostalgic memories with photos of hanging out with Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, and all the historic hosts of the tonight show while surfing at the beach. The coffee table is a 3D map of Long Island Sound.

Diane Foreman - Luna Kitchen and BathThe existing powder room was outdated. It had not been changed since the home was built 30 years. We designed the room to flow with the contemporary feel of the surrounding spaces and furnishings. To update the powder bathroom, we chose a stainless steel vessel sink centered in the bamboo cabinet the wall was tiled in honed marble carved in a contemporary “stream” design. An illusion of height was created by running the tile vertically in contrast to the horizontal grain of the caramelized bamboo cabinetry. The mirror was framed in limestone and glass mosaics and flanked by iron wall sconces.
Sally Scott Interior DesignerA small powder room is paneled in vintage yardsticks collected for years from all over the country! 95 sticks. Black baseboard and chair rail accentuate the whimsical bunny wallpaper and tin ceiling. The floor is old linoleum painted in a colorful check pattern.

Kristin RockeCopper tones rule in this Park City powder room. Fresh hardware and ogee tile feature the pinkish warm metallic tone, while walnut and alder subdue the shine nicely.
Production & Design, Inc.This client did not like the confined feeling of the powder room. I thought the weird banjo arm going across the wall contributed to that problem. So we removed that to start and did cabinets with an open shelf at the bottom. I had wanted to do a floating cabinet but the plumbing prohibited that. So we use a 12" wide upper cabinet turned on it's side to create the bottom shelf. Then we put that on legs and created a small support for the vanity cabinet to sit on. This created a much more open feel for the room. The wall was tiled with a Travertine random mosaic tile. The crystal pendants are a nice contrast to the stone. The copper sink and mirror are warm and inviting.

Small powder room has the underlit wall hung vanity with glass copper colored bowl. Oil rubbed bronze plumbing fixtures, copper mirrors and sconce lights make a small space elegant.
