DINING AREA. This Malvern cottage was built 10 years before we began work and lacked any character. It was our job to give the home some personality and on this occasion we felt the best solution would be achieved by taking the property back to a shell and re-designing the space. We introducing beams, altered window sizes, added new doors and moved walls. We also gave the house kerb appeal by altering the front and designing a new porch. Finally, the back garden was landscaped to provide a complete finish.

Tropical plantation architecture was the inspiration for this hilltop Montecito home. The plan objective was to showcase the owners' furnishings and collections while slowly unveiling the coastline and mountain views. A playful combination of colors and textures capture the spirit of island life and the eclectic tastes of the client.

This Edwardian house in Redland has been refurbished from top to bottom. The 1970s decor has been replaced with a contemporary and slightly eclectic design concept. The front living room had to be completely rebuilt as the existing layout included a garage. Wall panelling has been added to the walls and the walls have been painted in Farrow and Ball Studio Green to create a timeless yes mysterious atmosphere. The false ceiling has been removed to reveal the original ceiling pattern which has been painted with gold paint. All sash windows have been replaced with timber double glazed sash windows.
An in built media wall complements the wall panelling.
The interior design is by Ivywell Interiors.

This long space needed flexibility above all else. As frequent hosts to their extended family, we made sure there was plenty of seating to go around, but also met their day-to-day needs with intimate groupings. Much like the kitchen, the family room strikes a balance between the warm brick tones of the fireplace and the handsome green wall finish. Not wanting to miss an opportunity for spunk, we introduced an intricate geometric pattern onto the accent wall giving us a perfect backdrop for the clean lines of the mid-century inspired furniture pieces.

I found the ceramic whippet I call “Devo” at Circa Who in Palm Beach. My husband has a side gig repairing Devo’s tail every time Nacho knocks over the fireplace screen.
