Archadeck of Nashville
This white low-maintenance pergola adds contrast to the rich hues of this spacious hardwood deck. Archadeck of Nashville throoughfully considered the placement of this beauty in correlation with the outdoor kitchen/grilling area included in the deck design. The pergola literally defines the outdoor dining area.
Archadeck of West Central and Southwest Ohio
This beautiful outdoor space project is in Clear Creek Twp. Warren County, Waynesville, OH. The combination project includes a spacious elevated TimberTech deck in Terrain Brown Oak with Arabian aluminum railing. The deck spills into a patio built with Oberfield’s pavers. Photos by Archadeck of West Central & Southwest Ohio.
Archadeck of Birmingham
This Birmingham deck was built using TimberTech Tropicals composite decking in Amazon Mist and a striking deck railing system with an urban retro feel. The railings are from TimberTech’s Evolutions Rail Contemporary line. The homeowners selected black low-maintenance posts and rail caps with see-through stainless steel cable infill instead of the traditional balusters or pickets. Looking through the railings, the cables are barely visible, so anyone on the deck has an unobstructed view of the yard and surrounding foliage.
Archadeck of Akron OH

Archadeck of Nashville
This custom composite deck features a step-up design and a picture-framed border. Notice the deck fields of the upper and lower decks are installed on opposite diagonals for added visual interest as well.

palaestra
The old cottage is raised above a flood planning level, New rooms take shape behind the original shack. Battens visible over plywood fixed from the outside over the hardwood frame comprise the new master bedroom. The bathhouse is visible to the left. A good carpenter thinks about his next cut. Staging work allows a place to evolve.
Archadeck of Suburban Boston
This low-maintenance Fiberon pool deck surround delivers easy access to the homeowners above ground pool. The design features a custom bar area and privacy screen.

Photo by: Shawn St. Peter Photography - What designer could pass on the opportunity to buy a floating home like the one featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle? Well, not this one! When I purchased this floating home from my aunt and uncle, I didn’t know about floats and stringers and other issues specific to floating homes. Nor had I really thought about the hassle of an out of state remodel. Believing that I was up for the challenge, I grabbed my water wings, sketchpad, and measuring tape and jumped right in!
If you’ve ever thought of buying a floating home, I’ve already tripped over some of the hurdles you will face. So hop on board - hopefully you will enjoy the ride.
I have shared my story of this floating home remodel and accidental flip in my eBook "Sleepless in Portland." Just subscribe to our monthly design newsletter and you will be sent a link to view all the photos and stories in my eBook.
