Chi Renovation & DesignOnly minor changes were needed to give this entryway a brand new look. We were able to brighten the space up and add a touch of contemporary style by installing fresh new tiling throughout. The soft white tiles merge seamlessly with the classic wooden elements found in the connecting rooms.
Designed by Chi Renovation & Design who serve Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Lincoln Park, Skokie, Wilmette, and all the way up to Lake Forest.

Hilger Architekten, MünsterDer beigefarbenen Hauseingang aus Holzelementen öffnet sich in die großzügige Diele des Einfamilienhaues, Begleitet wird die Eingangsachse mit genau platzierten Deckeneinbaustrahlern innen und außen im Deckenbereich.
Beth Levine Architect, Inc.The Patricia Baez Glass Sculpture makes a dramatic impression in the entryway on it’s custom blue pearl granite stand.
北野彰作建築研究所玄関はそのまま「通り土間」から勝手口に通じています。途中、踏み石のある場所がキッチンへと通じているので玄関、勝手口の双方から直接キッチンに入る事が出来ます。それが「通り土間」の最大のメリット、裏動線としても活用できます。
北野彰作建築研究所照明を全て消して自然光だけにすると、より素材の美しさが際立ちます。土間の敷き石のザラッとした素材感、無垢木材の古びた味わい、障子紙を濾した光の柔らかさ等々、気負いのないナチュラル感を堪能することが出来ます。

プライバシーを確保しながら、通りに対しても緑や余白を配し緩やかに空間を分けている。
軒や格子が日本的な陰影をつくりだし、庭との境界を曖昧にし、四季折々の風景を何気ない日々の日常に感じながら暮らすことのできる住まい。
玄関扉を開くと中庭の風景がそっと迎えてくれる。
