Boulevard House is an expansive, light filled home for a young family to grow into. It’s located on a steep site in Ivanhoe, Melbourne. The home takes advantage of a beautiful northern aspect, along with stunning views to trees along the Yarra River, and to the city beyond. Two east-west pavilions, linked by a central circulation core, use passive solar design principles to allow all rooms in the house to take advantage of north sun and cross ventilation, while creating private garden areas and allowing for beautiful views.

Our customer in Arundel, West Sussex was looking to add in a triple garage and wanted to gain a home office studio space as part of the build. A bespoke double storey oak barn garage was the perfect solution to meet the required needs. The use of quality British oak also worked well with their existing property and country surroundings, creating an elegant building despite its more practical and utilitarian uses. The natural colours of oak beam frame and cladding blend seamlessly with the surroundings and the contrast of the dark roof tiles give it a smart and contemporary edge. Proof that a garage does not have to be uninteresting. Our specialist team did all the frame construction, cladding, window fitting, tiling, and in this case the groundworks, electrics, internal finishes and decorating as well as landscaping around the building were carried out by the customers contractor. Even through a pandemic, Christmas holidays and winter weather the building was up and finished within 12 weeks and just look at the stunning results! The lower storey has given the client two large garages with double barn doors, creating a covered and secure area to store cars as well as providing a workshop and storage area. There is also a covered car port area for sheltered storage of another vehicle. The upper storey has provided the client with a spacious home office studio. The front of the building has a dormer window area, providing more ceiling height and space as well as letting in plenty of sunlight. The client also chose to add opening roof light windows either side in the roof to add further ventilation and light to the space. The office space is accessed by an attractive external oak staircase to right side of the building. The quality of the finish is just exquisite and the traditional finishing details such as the arched oak beams and peg construction really show the craftmanship that goes into creating an oak building. The lantern outside lighting just adds that final touch of style to this beautiful oak building.

This project includes a bespoke double carport structure designed to our client's specification and fabricated prior to installation. This twisting flat roof carport was manufactured from mild steel and iroko timber which features within a vertical privacy screen and battened soffit. We also included IP rated LED lighting and motion sensors for ease of parking at night time.

Automobile Pavilion designed to allow our client to store, enjoy and work on their classic car and motorbike collection, as well as serving as a pool house and integrated golf simulator. The site sits discreetly amongst mature trees overlooking formal gardens within the grounds of a stunning country home in rural Northamptonshire.

The owners had grand ambitions for their major house renovation down in Surrey and we were delighted to be brought in with the challenge of delivering 6 brand new, bespoke doors. Working closely with Nova Architecture, we lent our experience to develop a series of door solutions that would match and enhance the impressive house makeover and extension to the back. European oak was the preferred natural hardwood of choice and this was translated into multiple designs across all door types – front, garage and internal. A full smart home automation system by us, first fix to final installation including design. This client wanted a whole smart home system with all the equipment in their "comms room" so we made this possible for them. A Control4 system throughout the home with full cctv, lighting & audio visual control via their touch panels & keypads on the wall as well as an app. A basic run down of what we did. Air-conditioning throughout the home A media wall with a projector & 7.2 surround sound in the "media room". Ceiling speakers throughout the whole home including bathrooms, bedrooms & en-suites. Rock weatherproof speakers in the garden CCTV around the property. Smart Lighting TV & surround sound in the open plan dining/kitchen/living area. Intercom.

This was our initial concept design for our client, based on their requirements. Included are some photos of our work in progress, as well as the final design. We used an architectural cladding system for the cladding, and anthracite aluminium for the fascia

Positioned on the lakeside, a short drive from Twizel, the home celebrates its pristine location, capturing the surreal views at every opportunity. Upon entering the house, a central floor-to-ceiling window teases with a peek at the vista to come. It also acts as a crossroads that begs the question: left or right? A left turn will take you into the kitchen/dining/living quarters, which expand onto a central multi-layered deck. Huge glass sliders frame the panoramic views beyond. A right turn will take you to the bedrooms. The elements in the high country may be harsh, but they’re no match for this home. During winter the central schist-clad fire and underfloor heating throughout will effortlessly conquer those sub-zero temperatures. A cool, calm and comfortable contemporary home.
