Exterior highlights include stone detailing, multiple entries, transom windows and arched doorways. Inside, the home features a livable open floor plan as well as 10-foot ceilings. Custom built for our client, this home is comprised of all the essentials including five bedrooms, six full baths in addition to two half baths, grand room featuring a marble fireplace, dining room adjacent to a large wine room, family room overlooking the loggia and pool as well as a master wing complete with separate his and her closets and bathrooms.
Barn ProsSettled between the trees of the Pacific Northwest, the sun rests on the Tradesman 48 Shop complete with cedar and Douglas fir. The 36’x 48’ shop with lined soffits and ceilings boasts Douglas fir 2”x6” tongue and groove siding, two standard western red cedar cupolas and Clearspan steel roof trusses. Western red cedar board and batten siding on the gable ends are perfect for the outdoors, adding to the rustic and quaint setting of Washington. A sidewall height of 12’6” encloses 1,728 square feet of unobstructed space for storage of tractors, RV’s, trucks and other needs. In this particular model, access for vehicles is made easy by three, customer supplied roll-up garage doors on the front end, while Barn Pros also offers garage door packages built for ease. Personal entrance to the shop can be made through traditional handmade arch top breezeway doors with windows.

Der Wunsch des Bauherren war ein Gebäude zu erschaffen, welches Hauptfassade von der Terrasse der Villa gut ersichtlich ist, aber sonst von allen anderen Seiten möglichst unauffällig innerhalb der Außenanlage in Erscheinung tritt. Der Innenraum von insgesamt 120 qm Nutzfläche ist nicht nur als Aufbewahrungsstätte für PKW und Motorrad-Oldtimer gedacht, sondern auch als Werkstatt und Aufenthaltsraum für den Besitzer und seine Besucher.
Die stützenfreie Dachkonstruktion besteht aus Leimbinder mit einem Stahlzugband mittig vom First. Die erste Balkenlage dient gleichzeitig als tragende Konstruktion für einen begehbaren Steg, von welchem die Oldtimer-Exponate auch von oberhalb betrachtet werden können.
Die transparenten schaufensterartigen Tore mit Stahlsprossen sollen den Loft-Charakter des Innenraums weiter verstärken.
Vetter ArchitectsA minimal insertion into a densely wooded landscape, the Collector’s Pavilion provides the owners with an 8,000 sf private fitness space and vintage automobile gallery. On a gently sloping site in amongst a grove of trees, the pavilion slides into the topography - mimicking and contrasting the surrounding landscape with a folded roof plane that hovers over a board formed concrete base.
The clients’ requirement for a nearby room to display a growing car collection as well as provide a remote area for personal fitness carries with it a series of challenges related to privacy and security. The pavilion nestles into the wooded site - finding a home in a small clearing - and merges with the sloping landscape. The building has dual personalities, serving as a private and secure bunker from the exterior, while transforming into a warm and inviting space on the interior. The use of indirect light and the need to obscure direct views from the public right away provides the client with adequate day light for day-to-day use while ensuring that strict privacy is maintained. This shifting personality is also dramatically affected by the seasons - contrasting and merging with the surrounding environment depending on the time of year.
The Collector’s Pavilion employs meticulous detailing of its concrete to steel to wood connections, exploring the grounded nature of poured concrete in conjunction with a delicate wood roof system that floats above a grid of steel. Above all, the Pavilion harmonizes with it’s natural surroundings through it’s materiality, formal language, and siting.

Barn ProsThe owners of this massive Coach House shop approached Barn Pros with a challenge: they needed versatile, and large, storage space for golfing equipment plus a full apartment for family gatherings and guests. The solution was our Coach House model. Designed on a 14’ x 14’ grid with a sidewall that measures 18’, there’s a total of 3,920 sq. ft. in this 56’ x 42’ building. The standard model is offered as a storage building with a 2/3 loft (28’ x 56’). Apartment packages are available, though not included in the base model.
