FORMA DesignThe Living room is part of an open plan Living/Dining/kitchen/entertainment area that flows from one space to the other uninterrupted. Ample daylight filters in from all directions. The neutral palate is punctuated with primary color accents in the accessories and art. A gas fireplace with a concrete surround is the focal point of the room.

Everything HomeOur Carmel design-build studio planned a beautiful open-concept layout for this home with a lovely kitchen, adjoining dining area, and a spacious and comfortable living space. We chose a classic blue and white palette in the kitchen, used high-quality appliances, and added plenty of storage spaces to make it a functional, hardworking kitchen. In the adjoining dining area, we added a round table with elegant chairs. The spacious living room comes alive with comfortable furniture and furnishings with fun patterns and textures. A stunning fireplace clad in a natural stone finish creates visual interest. In the powder room, we chose a lovely gray printed wallpaper, which adds a hint of elegance in an otherwise neutral but charming space.

H2D Architecture + DesignThe design of the living space is oriented out to the sweeping views of Puget Sound. The vaulted ceiling helps to enhance to openness and connection to the outdoors. Neutral tones intermixed with natural materials create a warm, cozy feel in the space.

Landmark Construction CrewLiving Room of the Beautiful New Encino Construction which included the installation of the angled ceiling, black window trim, wall painting, fireplace, clerestory windows, pendant lighting, light hardwood flooring and living room furnitures.
Elements Architectural GroupLocated along a country road, a half mile from the clear waters of Lake Michigan, we were hired to re-conceptualize an existing weekend cabin to allow long views of the adjacent farm field and create a separate area for the owners to escape their high school age children and many visitors!
The site had tight building setbacks which limited expansion options, and to further our challenge, a 200 year old pin oak tree stood in the available building location.
We designed a bedroom wing addition to the side of the cabin which freed up the existing cabin to become a great room with a wall of glass which looks out to the farm field and accesses a newly designed pea-gravel outdoor dining room. The addition steps around the existing tree, sitting on a specialized foundation we designed to minimize impact to the tree. The master suite is kept separate with ‘the pass’- a low ceiling link back to the main house.
Painted board and batten siding, ribbons of windows, a low one-story metal roof with vaulted ceiling and no-nonsense detailing fits this modern cabin to the Michigan country-side.

The marble coffee table in brown complements the color scheme. Also, the room has a dash of colorful flowers and a vibrant painting. Beautiful artifacts add to the positivity. The overall vibe is calm - just how you would love after a long day at work

Our clients wanted to create a beautiful and open concept living space for entertaining while maximized the natural lighting throughout their midcentury modern Mackay home. Light silvery gray and bright white tones create a contemporary and sophisticated space; combined with elegant rich, dark woods throughout.
Removing the center wall and brick fireplace between the kitchen and dining areas allowed for a large seven by four foot island and abundance of light coming through the floor to ceiling windows and addition of skylights. The custom low sheen white and navy blue kitchen cabinets were designed by Segale Bros, with the goal of adding as much organization and access as possible with the island storage, drawers, and roll-outs.
Black finishings are used throughout with custom black aluminum windows and 3 panel sliding door by CBW Windows and Doors. The clients designed their custom vertical white oak front door with CBW Windows and Doors as well.
