Jan Neiges, CMKBD with NKBAThis tall wall for the fireplace had art niches that I wanted removed along with the boring white tile border around the fireplace. I wanted a clean and simple look. I replaced the white tile that surrounded the inside of the fireplace with black glass mosaic tile. This helped to give the fireplace opening a more solid look.

Landmark HomesThis grand 2-story home with first-floor owner’s suite includes a 3-car garage with spacious mudroom entry complete with built-in lockers. A stamped concrete walkway leads to the inviting front porch. Double doors open to the foyer with beautiful hardwood flooring that flows throughout the main living areas on the 1st floor. Sophisticated details throughout the home include lofty 10’ ceilings on the first floor and farmhouse door and window trim and baseboard. To the front of the home is the formal dining room featuring craftsman style wainscoting with chair rail and elegant tray ceiling. Decorative wooden beams adorn the ceiling in the kitchen, sitting area, and the breakfast area. The well-appointed kitchen features stainless steel appliances, attractive cabinetry with decorative crown molding, Hanstone countertops with tile backsplash, and an island with Cambria countertop. Amazing SpacesThis project incorporated the main floor of the home. The existing kitchen was narrow and dated, and closed off from the rest of the common spaces. The client’s wish list included opening up the space to combine the dining room and kitchen, create a more functional entry foyer, and update the dark sunporch to be more inviting.
The concept resulted in swapping the kitchen and dining area, creating a perfect flow from the entry through to the sunporch.
A double-sided stone-clad fireplace divides the great room and sunporch, highlighting the new vaulted ceiling. The old wood paneling on the walls was removed and reclaimed wood beams were added to the ceiling. The single door to the patio was replaced with a double door. New furniture and accessories in shades of blue and gray is at home in this bright and airy family room.
Taylor DesignThis 2-story living room features a natural stone 2-sided gas fireplace with custom white mantel. The large Pottery Barn chandelier is a fun touch. The floors are Brazilian teak sand & finish hardwood.

They give a great view of the outdoors and are energy efficient so will not let any cold air in. The beautiful velvet blue sofa set adds a warm feel to the room and the interior design overall is very thoughtfully done. We love the artwork above the sectional.
