Mediterrasian Landscapes
This photo was taken four years after completion of the landscaping. Four years ago, we renovated this desolate, weedy front yard by creating terraces with beatiful stone retaining walls. Then we added colorful, drought tolerant plants that grow so well in San Francisco's Mediterranean climate. We installed drip irrigation and concealed it with attractive ginger rock pebble mulch.
Dig Your Garden Landscape Design
The front and back areas surrounding this Eichler home were updated with the mid-century modern design aesthetic in mind. ing grasses, other Mediterranean plants and several succulents. The Front landscape takes on a minimalist design with architectural Barrel Cactus, Artichoke Agaves, stately Thatching Reeds, a Blue Palm (Brahea 'Clara') a Mediterranean Fan Palm and other easy-care plants. The corten steel sculpture offers a striking focal point adjacent to the front doorway.
Banyon Tree Design Studio
Urban landscape masterplan and installation. We created continuity of color, texture, and form starting at the street and front yard, and reaching to the rear yard and alleyway. Contemporary and naturalistic plantings blur the lines of rigidity and formality of this modern garden, while the structure of hardscaping holds the composition together year-round.

Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.
Our clients hired us to create a landscape for their new acreage that stays true to the native setting. We utilized natural rock, large southern Alberta native trees and plantings, with rock slabs for steps down the walkout sides of the home. The new asphalt driveway will be going in now that the landscaping is complete.
FormLA Landscaping
While much garden art can pose dangers when left out, the owners of this home collect reclaimed art of metal and glass. While both can melt in high heat, they do not burn. Here, a glass drop "waters" Coast Dudleya, aka "Live Forever." It can live on just a few drops! Unlike its look-alike Echeveria, California Native Dudleya thrive in our cool, wet winters every bit as well as they do in our hot, dry summers. Photo: Orly Olivier.
