Celebrating Southern California's mild climate, this hill-top residence was enhanced with an a bubbling water feature, outdoor shower, custom fencing and a Mediterranean plant palette. The fence's design, with its slender vertical lines, draws the eye toward the site's lovely borrowed scenery. An outdoor shower, nestled into a corner of the yard, beckons the homeowners to bath in the open air.

The Barn: Landscape + Architecture
A sloping back yard is terraced by creating retaining walls made of eden cut drywall. The steppers in the natural stone walkway are patterned eden flagstone. To amp up the color contrast of white and green we used Limelight Hydrangea on the right and Incrediball Hydrangea on the left.
Kuert Outdoor Living
RAM Concrete placed the Stone Terra blocks (produced by Kuert Concrete), assembled the Belgard outdoor fireplace, and poured the surrounding concrete slabs and steps.

This was a wooded back yard in Smyrna, GA . The main focal point was the long stream cascading down the hillside. The Mortared Flagstone Walkway and steps interacted with the stream and terminated at a patio and pond. It was all very natural and blended in with the existing landscape. Hedahl Landscape Deck & Patio
After Picture; Wall placement was critical because of the septic drainfield lines. The woodchip pathways were installed from both ends of yard and provided ground level access to raised garden peninsulas from above, while homeowners could stand at lower level and work in raised garden beds. Drip system was designed for beds and garden separate. The neat thing with the Allan Block is the tab is on top, so we can use it for a border "edge" and not require a cap. A cap was installed on the 2' high seat wall in curved section next to paver patio. The mixed pattern wall is Allan Block in Europa tumbled series shown in Rocky Mountain color blend.
Dig Your Garden Landscape Design
APLD Silver Award Winning Landscape 2021. Dymondia ground cover filled in. An expansive back yard landscape with several mature oak trees and a stunning Golden Locust tree has been transformed into a welcoming outdoor retreat. The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. Dramatic white pots provide architectural accents, filled with succulents and citrus trees. Design, Photos, Drawings © Eileen Kelly, Dig Your Garden Landscape Design @digyourgardenlandscapedesign
