When asked if we could come up with a little something for our client's daughter and her friends that also complimented the main house, we went to work. Complete with monkey bars, a swing, built-in table & bench, & a ladder up a cozy loft - this spot is a place for the imagination to be set free...and all within easy view while the parents hang with friends on the deck and whip up a little something in the outdoor kitchen.
H2D Architecture + DesignExterior of this new modern home is designed with fibercement panel siding with a rainscreen. The front porch has a large overhang to protect guests from the weather. A rain chain detail was added for the rainwater runoff from the porch. The walkway to the front door is pervious paving.

The exterior walls are highly insulated to bring the home to a new passive house level of construction. The highly efficient exterior envelope of the home helps to reduce the amount of energy needed to heat and cool the home, thus creating a very comfortable environment in the home.
