Mary Ellen’s collection is a minimalistic and romantic inspired set. It has a touch of classic charm while maintaining a modern European aesthetic.
One of our absolute favorite Instagram accounts is @maryellenskye. We love the design aesthetic of all her pictures. Her minimalistic approach with a flare of flowers, old charm and of course Nashville was enough for us to know we had to work on a collection with her.
Mary Ellen's collection is a complete reflection of her minimalistic yet romantic love for home decor. Her home is inspired by a touch of southern charm with lots of flowers and nude tones. We asked her a few questions to find out what inspired her collection, what she loves and we even got a few tips on how to approach the decorating process.

CM Natural Designs
This space was designed for a fun and lively family of four. The furniture and fireplace were custom designed to hold up to the wear and tear of young kids while still being hip and modern for the parents who regularly host their friends and family. It is light, airy and timeless. Most items were selected from local, privately owned businesses and the mantel from an old reclaimed barn beam.

Blueprint Dreams LLC
We added this reading alcove by building out the walls. It's a perfect place to read a book and take a nap.
Pleasant Living, LLC
The challenge with this project was to transform a very traditional house into something more modern and suited to the lifestyle of a young couple just starting a new family. We achieved this by lightening the overall color palette with soft grays and neutrals. Then we replaced the traditional dark colored wood and tile flooring with lighter wide plank hardwood and stone floors. Next we redesigned the kitchen into a more workable open plan and used top of the line professional level appliances and light pigmented oil stained oak cabinetry. Finally we painted the heavily carved stained wood moldings and library and den cabinetry with a fresh coat of soft pale light reflecting gloss paint.

This is the informal den or family room of the home. Slipcovers were used on the lighter colored items to keep everything washable and easy to maintain. Coffee tables were replaced with two oversized tufted ottomans in dark gray which sit on a custom made beige and cream zebra pattern rug. The lilac and white wallpaper was carried to this room from the adjacent kitchen. Dramatic linen window treatments were hung on oversized black wood rods, giving the room height and importance.
JuniperOats Studio
A new take on Japandi living. Distinct architectural elements found in European architecture from Spain and France, mixed with layout decisions of eastern philosophies, grounded in a warm minimalist color scheme, with lots of natural elements and textures. The room has been cleverly divided into different zones, for reading, gathering, relaxing by the fireplace, or playing the family’s heirloom baby grand piano.
Darci Hether New York
To add a serene and soothing ambience to this 64th-floor pied-à-terre, our NYC design studio chose a relaxing color palette of soft blues, grays, and creams to reflect the light streaming in through floor-to-ceiling windows. A custom work desk perfectly matches the curved windows for expansive views of Downtown, the Hudson River, and Uptown. The bedroom is a peaceful sanctuary for the soul, with soft colors and bedding to induce instant relaxation. Elegant bar chairs in the spacious open-concept kitchen reflect the calming feel of the rest of the home.
---Our interior design service area is all of New York City including the Upper East Side and Upper West Side, as well as the Hamptons, Scarsdale, Mamaroneck, Rye, Rye City, Edgemont, Harrison, Bronxville, and Greenwich CT.
