Wheatland Custom Cabinetry & WoodworkWe love a sleek shiplap fireplace surround. Our clients were looking to update their fireplace surround as they were completing a home remodel and addition in conjunction. Their inspiration was a photo they found on Pinterest that included a sleek mantel and floor to ceiling shiplap on the surround. Previously the surround was an old red brick that surrounded the fire box as well as the hearth. After structural work and granite were in place by others, we installed and finished the shiplap fireplace surround and modern mantel.

Kimberley Kay InteriorsUpdated this fireplace with added shiplap stained a natural finish to give it a more natural and earthy look. Added greenery to add life and color. Added a large hexagon mirror instead of a mantel piece to let the fireplace stand on it's own.

Sean O'Kane AIA Architect P.C.The project consisted of a complete renovation of a 1940’s home in Darien and the addition of a two car Garage, Kitchen and Family Room wing.
The 8,300 sqft colonial home, in plan, takes the shape of an elle, and reveals a formal facade from the street. However, moving around to the rear of the home, the scale begins to break down, resembling a farmhouse from the period, with a low- pitched, covered porch, and modestly detailed columns. The cedar clapboard siding, wood roof and Chippendale detailing on the exterior porches reflect the quality of the home.

Cure Design GroupSophisticated and chic living room boasts a lot of natural light. The client wanted to keep the existing fireplace 'as is' so CURE Senior Designer, Melanie Christoff's challenge was to create a conversational space that was layered but simple. The elegant olive green leather chairs was the jumping off point for this space, adding in the bookcases that flank the fireplace to create more of a built in look and feel. The natural stump coffee table and the live edge benches serve as the perfect juxtaposition to the clean lines and metal finishes in this space.
