Sustainable HomeThis clean lined kitchen, designed for a young family that loves books, features healthy low VOC cabinets and paint. The custom table for the dining nook was made from a scrap of the countetop granite.

RR RedesignEldersburg residence once a 1990's dining room with striped wall paper and traditional furnishings has been changed to a beautiful modern rustic design. Dated striped wallpaper was removed and the walls were painted a beautiful robin's egg blue which opened up the space. A builders grade brass chandelier was replaced with a classic country black iron. The addition of the farm house table and linen tufted parson chairs will allow for many family gatherings. The heavy traditional swagged bay window treatments were replaced with simple light and airy geometric patterned curtain panels. Finished off with a beautiful elegant 8x10 rug, which added a softness to the existing carpeted floor.
Adornas Kitchens & InteriorsRichard & Caroline's kitchen was one of the biggest spaces we've had the pleasure of working on, yet this vast space has a very homely and welcoming feeling.
Texture has played a huge part in this design, with a mixture of materials all working in harmony and adding interest.
This property could be classed as a modern farmhouse, and the interior reflects this mix of traditional and modern.
It's home to a young family, and we're loving Caroline's playful use of colour and accessories!
As well as the meticulously designed kitchen, we created a modern storage area at the dining end to pull the two spaces together.
