Clairmont∙Design∙RemodelingThis kitchen replaced the one original to this 1963 built residence. The now empty nester couple entertain frequently including their large extended family during the holidays. Separating work and social spaces was as important as crafting a space that was conducive to their love of cooking and hanging with family and friends. Simple lines, simple cleanup, and classic tones create an environment that will be in style for many years. Subtle unique touches like the painted wood ceiling, pop up island receptacle/usb and receptacles/usb hidden at the bottom of the upper cabinets add functionality and intrigue. Ample LED lighting on dimmers both ceiling and undercabinet mounted provide ample task lighting. SubZero 42” refrigerator, 36” Viking Range, island pendant lights by Restoration Hardware. The ceiling is framed with white cove molding, the dark colored beadboard actually elevates the feeling of height. It was sanded and spray painted offsite with professional automotive paint equipment. It reflects light beautifully. No one expects this kind of detail and it has been quite fun watching people’s reactions to it. There are white painted perimeter cabinets and Walnut stained island cabinets. A high gloss, mostly white floor was installed from the front door, down the foyer hall and into the kitchen. Bilotta Kitchen & HomeDesigned for our Mount Kisco showroom by Danielle Florie, this kitchen features frameless cabinetry by North America Cabinets (or NAC), Bilotta’s most affordable cabinetry line. There is a mix of finishes: the perimeter and part of the island are in White Dove paint on their Princeton door; the remainder of the island is a flat panel cherry veneer in their “Night Shade” finish; the hutch is a Shaker door in Rivera Oak laminate with the exception of the door frame and countertop which are cherry veneer in their “Austin” finish. The perimeter countertop is Alleanza quartz in a polished finish, while the island is Asterix granite in a leather finish for more texture. There is also an integrated walnut block on the island. All appliances in this “live” kitchen (built-in double ovens, one steam and the other convection; microwave drawer; dishwasher; pro-cooktop; hood; and refrigerator) are all by Thermador. Hardware is from Altas Hardware in a brass finish which complements the light fixtures above the sink.
Reverse ArchitectureThe horizontal grain of the walnut elongates the interior face of the cabinetry. Minimizing the number of wall cabinets allows for an open, airy feel.

The new galley style configuration features a simple work triangle of a Kitchenaid refrigerator, Wolf range and Elkay sink. With plenty of the seating nearby, we opted to utilize the back of the island for storage. In addition, the two tall cabinets flanking the opening of the breakfast room feature additional pantry storage. An appliance garage to the left of the range features roll out shelves.
The tall cabinets and wall cabinets feature simple white shaker doors while the base cabinets and island are Benjamin Moore “Hale Navy”. Hanstone Campina quartz countertops, walnut accents and gold hardware and lighting make for a stylish and up-to-date feeling space.
The backsplash is a 5" Natural Stone hex. Faucet is a Litze by Brizo in Brilliant Luxe Gold. Hardware is It Pull from Atlas in Vintage Brass and Lighting was purchased by the owner from Schoolhouse Electric.
