Murphey Construction and DesignEichler home remodel completed by Murphey Builders in 2019 located in Walnut Creek, CA. A modern twist with cork floors, quartz counters and a tasteful mix of walnut and dark blue kitchen cabinets. We were able to keep many of the original Eichler designs and highlight them with low voltage LED strip lighting emphasizing the v-rustic ceiling with large beams. The cork floor adds to the homes comfort by dampening sound, cushioning steps and insulating from the concrete slab underneath.
Home Expressions Interiors by Laura Bloom Inc.Client purchased an older home and wanted to achieve an uncluttered, modern and bright kitchen that complimented the traditional elements of the home. Blue-gray base cabinets feel fresh while helping to ground and soften the crisp white of surrounding subway tile, quartz counter tops and upper cabinets. Simple Shaker style custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances and sink complete the chef inspired classic yet modern feel.
zpd+a and roomTEN designA tiny kitchen with tons of style, the owner's vintage plates are displayed on the reclaimed shelving. A dynamic crystaline countertop brings a little drama to the small space. Hand glazed Fireclay Tile glimmers on the wall, and blackened cork flooring manages noise and feels soft underfoot.
Soul Interiors Design, LLCOverhead kitchen cabinets originally above the cooktop made the kitchen feel dark and cramped. To create a brighter open space the bank of upper cabinets were removed and a new airy glass range-hood was installed. A full-height wall of new white subway tile with a colorful, horizontal band of custom-made glass tile gives this Mid-Century kitchen personality while visually expanding the space. New cobalt blue quartz countertops create the WOW.
