burlanes interiorsWe see so many beautiful homes in so many amazing locations, but every now and then we step into a home that really does take our breath away!
Located on the most wonderfully serene country lane in the heart of East Sussex, Mr & Mrs Carter's home really is one of a kind. A period property originally built in the 14th century, it holds so much incredible history, and has housed many families over the hundreds of years. Burlanes were commissioned to design, create and install the kitchen and utility room, and a number of other rooms in the home, including the family bathroom, the master en-suite and dressing room, and bespoke shoe storage for the entrance hall.

Wrights Design HouseThis beautifully designed and lovingly crafted bespoke handcrafted kitchen features a four panelled slip detailed door. The 30mm tulip wood cabintery has been handpainted in Farrow & Ball Old White with island in Pigeon and wall panelling in Slipper Satin. An Iroko breakfast bar brings warmth and texture, while contrasting nicely with the 30mm River White granite work surface. Images Infinity Media

Christopher HowardAs part of a commission for a bespoke kitchen, we maximised this additional space for a utility boot room. The upper tier cabinets were designed to take a selection of storage baskets, while the tall counter slim cabinet sits in front of a pipe box and makes a great storage space for the client's selection of vases. Shoes are neatly stored out of the way with a bench in Oak above for a seated area
Du Bois Design LtdCharcoal grey laundry room with concealed washer and dryer once could easily mistake this laundry as a butlers pantry. Looks too good to close the doors.
Chic Alors Decor & DesignBy incorporating a lower cabinet in between the washer/dryer we added more storage space. We raised the counter height to create one surface area for functionality. Upper cabinets flank rustic reclaimed hemlock shelves.

Philip Clay Kitchen Designs LTDA beautiful and functional space, this bespoke modern country style utility room was handmade at our Hertfordshire workshop. A contemporary take on a farmhouse kitchen and hand painted in light grey creating a elegant and timeless cabinetry.
