A Baby Boy's Nursery

This family wanted a room where the newest addition to the family could grow up in without having to change "themes" every couple of years. Mom & Dad already had most of the furniture. They just needed a few finishing touches to pull everything together.. We incorporated art that his big sisters created for that personal family touch. Birch trees, sticks and stones, rustic lighting and several animals all help to create a rugged yet playful feel to the space. A big cozy chair finishes it all off.

Baby boy's nursery with a eclectic and colourful theme. Adventure, feathers and boho themed products come together beautifully to create a baby boy’s room different than your standard nursery. I was on a tight budget and most of the items where sourced second hand, handmade or relatively cheap. The end result is fun and the mountains reflect my Canadian heritage which I hope our baby boy will enjoy. Photos by Crib creative

As APM, we have created a peaceful, calming room for our client's newborn baby. This room has been transformed into a beautiful nursery from an empty room. The windows have been renewed with a much better and more efficient window system, increasing the energy efficiency in the space. The walls have been changed from its dirty, unhygienic state to soft green walls, which look very satisfying and calming. Renovation by Absolute Project Management

This nursery by Etienne Interiors features a transitional design which is fresh, modern and follows the trend of nurseries that look anything but. The client wanted to incorporate a colour scheme of black, white, gray and gold. Etienne Interiors infused this colour scheme with a pop of Kelly green to enliven the space with an otherwise mono tonal palette. The elephant theme was also updated by using graphic interpretations in black, white and gold. The overall feel of the room is very chic with the addition of the jet black campaign dresser and nightstand. The mid century inspired lighting with brass accents tie into the case goods pieces and provide a soft glow to the room for a sense of calm.

A recently completed project for a little boys first bedroom. We used Craig and Rose's paint on the wall and added pops of rust and navy with accessories. The bookshelves created a little reading nook and we added comfort with lots of cosy textiles.

This charming nursery is dotted with elephants and as cozy as can be. Past clients are expecting their first baby this month and invited us to remodel an unused guest room into a nursery. It's been a while since we designed for a baby (our own daughter is 19 and off to college) so this request came as an absolute delight! The mom-to-be asked for a predominantly gray-white palette. We introduced a touch of blue for contrast and added a bit of texture using sheepskin rugs and embroidery. Photos: Paul Markert, Markert Photo, Inc.
