Lucy Johnson Interior DesignA NKBA award winner for best Powder Room. The main objective was to provide an aesthetically stunning, yet practical Powder room for their guests. In order for this tiny space to meet code clearance, I placed the vanity perpendicular to the toilet. I designed a tiny open vanity with a vessel sink and wall mounted plumbing to keep the space feeling as large as possible. The dark colors recede and provide drama and the warm wood, grout color and gold tone fixtures bring warmth to this cool palette. The tile pattern suggests trees bringing nature into the space.

A floating sink base, vessel sink, wall mounted faucet, suspended mirror, floating vanity lights and gorgeous micro tile... what is there not to love?
Right Arm ConstructionThis home was built in 1904 in the historic district of Ladd’s Addition, Portland’s oldest planned residential development. Right Arm Construction remodeled the kitchen, entryway/pantry, powder bath and main bath. Also included was structural work in the basement and upgrading the plumbing and electrical.

Alair Homes PlanoThis luxurious master bathroom had the ultimate transformation! The elegant tiled walls, Big Bang Chandelier and led lighting brighten all of the details. It features a Bain Ultra Essencia Freestanding Thermo- masseur tub and Hansgrohe showerheads and Mr. Steam shower with body sprays. The onyx countertops and Hansgrohe Massaud faucets dress the cabinets in pure elegance while the heated tile floors warm the entire space. Decor Kitchens & BathroomsWhat a great way of making the most of the space!! This room was perfect for a downstairs cloakroom and utility. Utopia Qube cloakroom furniture in white with their brass handle and tap fits perfectly. Wall hung furniture creates the sense of space as the light bounces off the floor below. Having white is also a great way of creating the illusion of space and openness, as well as feeling fresh and clean.
Staying with the white and brass theme, we used Second Nature Porter for the custom made housing for the appliances. The extra cupboard space is great for laundry detergents etc, keeping everything tidy and in its place!

Small and stylish powder room!
Stalburg DesignWe always say that a powder room is the “gift” you give to the guests in your home; a special detail here and there, a touch of color added, and the space becomes a delight! This custom beauty, completed in January 2020, was carefully crafted through many construction drawings and meetings.
We intentionally created a shallower depth along both sides of the sink area in order to accommodate the location of the door openings. (The right side of the image leads to the foyer, while the left leads to a closet water closet room.) We even had the casing/trim applied after the countertop was installed in order to bring the marble in one piece! Setting the height of the wall faucet and wall outlet for the exposed P-Trap meant careful calculation and precise templating along the way, with plenty of interior construction drawings. But for such detail, it was well worth it.
From the book-matched miter on our black and white marble, to the wall mounted faucet in matte black, each design element is chosen to play off of the stacked metallic wall tile and scones. Our homeowners were thrilled with the results, and we think their guests are too!
