down2earth Interior Design, LLC.When down2earth interior design was called upon to redesign this Queen Village row house, we knew that a complete overhaul to the plan was necessary. The kitchen, originally in the back of the house, had an unusable fireplace taking up valuable space, a terrible workflow, and cabinets and counters that had seen better days. The dining room and family room were one open space without definition or character.
The solution: reorganize the entire first floor. The dining area, with its deep blue walls and capiz chandelier, provides an immediate sense of place when you first walk into the home, and there is space for entryway items immediately next to the door.

Rudloff Custom BuildersThe den was already cozy and inviting. But we spruced it up by installing red oak floor, adding wainscoting and painting the fireplace surround and mantle white to help the fireplace pop.
We tore down the walls between four rooms to create this great room in Villanova, PA. And what a difference it makes! This bright space is perfect for everyday living and entertaining family and friends as the kitchen, eating and living areas flow seamlessly. With red oak flooring throughout, we used white and light gray materials and crown moulding to give this large space a cohesive yet open feel. We added wainscoting to the steel post columns. Other projects in this house included installing red oak flooring throughout the first floor, refinishing the main staircase, building new stairs into the basement, installing new basement flooring and opening the basement rooms to create another entertainment area.

FEATHRWallpaper You Don't Find Light utiltizes Gjoen's trademark juxtaposition of classical painting with masculine motifs. The centrepiece motif of this dog wallpaper is formed of two alert Dobermann Pinschers facing each other, linked by a chain and key. Oil painted florals soften the profiles of the Dobermanns, whilst the linear structure of the design brings continuity and restraint to their poised power.
CM InteriorsI'm all about neutral walls & colorful pieces! This room is my favorite room in the house, it's really where we spend 99.999% of our time, I love the calming blue couch & chair, and how everything came together decor wise from our little apartment on the water! The blue of the couch is a really versatile color, can look grey or navy. A little fall refresh is super easy with a burnt orange throw and some soft mock burlap pillows!
Marker Girl HomeThis design was for a family of 4 in the Heights. They requested a redo of the front of their very small home. Wanting the Entry to become an area where they can put away things like bags and shoes where mess and piles can normally happen. The couple has two twin toddlers and in a small home like their's organization is a must. We were hired to help them create an Entry and Family Room to meet their needs.
