Linda Woods DesignTo keep in budget we reconfigured our client's existing IKEA kitchen and designed the kitchen area in the extension around the new layout. It looks fantastic and saved them approx. $20K.
KitchenVisionsA narrow set of cubby shelves prevent the refrigerator door from banging into the window and provides space for wine bottles and cookbooks. Open space above works well for oversized baskets and vases.
In the DeetsSimple and clean in-law unit kitchenette featuring quartz counter tops, decorative tile backsplash, hidden appliances, custom cabinetry, and engineered wide plank, oak flooring.
Medford RemodelingThe walkway that we closed up in the kitchen is now home to the new stainless steel oven and matching hood vent. Previously, the oven sat on the reverse side of the kitchen which did not allow for an overhead vent. Our clients will certainly notice a difference in cooking now that the space is properly ventilated!
The new wall also allows for additional cabinet storage. A space-saving Lazy Suzan sits in the lower cabinets to the left of the oven, while a stack of wide utensil drawers conveniently occupies the right side.

The Site ForemanThe window splash-back provides a unique connection to the outdoors, easy to clean and plenty of light through the day.
Beautiful Habitat: Design & DecorationThe existing kitchen was completely remodeled to create a compact chef's kitchen. The client is a true chef, who teaches cooking classes, and we were able to get a professional grade kitchen in an 11x7 footprint!
The new island creates adequate prep space. The bookcases on the front add a ton of storage and interesting display in an otherwise useless walkway.
The South wall is the exposed brick original to the 1900's home. To compliment the brick, we chose a warm nutmeg stain in cherry cabinets.
The countertops are a durable quartz that look like marble but are sturdy enough for this work horse kitchen.
The retro pendants are oversized to add a lot of interest in this small space.

Maletz DesignThis Chelsea loft was transformed from a beat-up live-work space into a tranquil, light-filled home with oversized windows and high ceilings. The open floor plan created a new kitchen, dining area, and living room in one space, with two airy bedrooms and bathrooms at the other end of the layout. We used a pale, white oak flooring from LV Wood Floors throughout the space, and kept the color palette light and neutral. The kitchen features custom cabinetry with minimal hardware and a wide island with seating on one side. Appliances are Wolf and Subzero. Track lighting by Tech Lighting. Photo by Maletz Design
Misiaszek Turpin pllcThe 800 square-foot guest cottage is located on the footprint of a slightly smaller original cottage that was built three generations ago. With a failing structural system, the existing cottage had a very low sloping roof, did not provide for a lot of natural light and was not energy efficient. Utilizing high performing windows, doors and insulation, a total transformation of the structure occurred. A combination of clapboard and shingle siding, with standout touches of modern elegance, welcomes guests to their cozy retreat.
The cottage consists of the main living area, a small galley style kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and sleeping loft above. The loft construction was a timber frame system utilizing recycled timbers from the Balsams Resort in northern New Hampshire. The stones for the front steps and hearth of the fireplace came from the existing cottage’s granite chimney. Stylistically, the design is a mix of both a “Cottage” style of architecture with some clean and simple “Tech” style features, such as the air-craft cable and metal railing system. The color red was used as a highlight feature, accentuated on the shed dormer window exterior frames, the vintage looking range, the sliding doors and other interior elements.

Cabinet JointFew things are more time-honored than the classic contrast combo of black and white, or Frosty White and Ebony. This white oak kitchen captures it all and achieves it with grace! John of @shannslaughter described the remodel by saying, “Our house is small, old, and completely lacking standard measurements, square edges, etc. The ability to get the cabinets made to exact specifications let us maximize our available space.” The long, narrow pullout units to the right of the fridge, custom wine storage, and a window bench are examples of how storage is artfully integrated into the heart of this home. The matching countertop and backsplash and black island chairs weave consistency and nuance into this fabulous remodel.
Puccini KitchensThis kitchen in an open-plan space exudes contemporary elegance with its Italian handleless design.
The cabinetry, finished in Fenix Beige Arizona and Bianco Kos with a luxurious matt finish, contributes to a seamless and sophisticated look. The Italian handleless style not only adds a touch of minimalism but also enhances the clean lines and sleek aesthetic of the space.
The worktops, featuring 20mm Caesarstone Aterra Blanca Quartz, add a touch of refinement and durability to the kitchen. The light colour complements the cabinetry choices to create a cohesive design. The choice of Caesarstone ensures a sturdy and easy-to-maintain surface.
A spacious island takes centre stage in this open-plan layout, serving as a focal point for both cooking and dining activities. The integrated hob on the island enhances the functionality of the space, allowing for efficient meal preparation while maintaining a streamlined appearance.
This kitchen is not just practical and functional; it also provides an inviting area for dining and socialising with a great choice of colours, materials, and overall design.

piquThis long narrow galley kitchen has been completely revamped by the use of clever design to maximise functionality in the space available. A wrap around breakfast bar added to the open plan dining area links the spaces and the use of bold floor tiles and a full height stone splash-back in Sensa Sant Angelo from Cosentino add character and colour to the sleek white kitchen.
Judith Wright DesignSaving the original stained glass picture window from 1916, we created a focal point with a custom designed arch alcove with dentil molding. Leaded glass upper cabinets add ambiance and sparkle to the compact kitchen.
