I have worked with this client before, and when she decided to address the living room and asked for my help I was thrilled. She wanted to keep the piano in the space, so we added the framed botanical prints to add color, variety and height to this wall. Opposite this wall is a beautiful window that had dated custom curtains. We changed the treatment to more modern panels on an exposed rod with rings. It frames the window out while balancing the piano and prints. For seating, we added these two beauties, upholstered in a casual gray texture. The space provides a quiet retreat, or a gathering spot to listen to music.

This is the nook we designed to fit Tim's 1902, upright Chickering piano. Two Streamline style wall sconces flank either side, and ceiling track lighting makes this a fine space for house concerts and recording. Belltown Condo Remodel, Seattle, WA. Belltown Design. Photography by Paula McHugh

Flat renovation in Nunhead, South East London. We have constructed a curved wall clad with vertical pine timber battens, which soften the edges of the space and create an aesthetically pleasing feature to the space. With the curved bathroom wall we wanted the new bathroom to appear as a identifiable new addition to the flat therefore the geometry of a curved wall, as well as its external cladding with vertical pine timber battens would create the appearance of a ""pod"" inserted into the flat.
Westbury Garden Rooms
Our first port of call was to improve the flow between these living spaces. By utilising the existing doorway that led from the kitchen to the garden patio, we designed the entrance to the new orangery. Our clients wanted to ensure that their kitchen would also benefit from ample natural light, as this new extension would mean that the only window to the room would be lost along the partitioning wall. So, the existing window opening was transformed into a passe-plat or serving hole. This allowed us to ensure that all the brilliant, natural light flowing through the roof lantern and large windows of the orangery, would also spill through the opening and illuminate the kitchen.
THE INNER HOUSE

Condo dens can be a difficult space to utilize especially when they don't have windows. Our client wanted a room to practice music as his desk ended up in the guest room. This was his favorite room.

LiLu Interiors
Less is more in this home snuggled on the bluffs overlooking St. Croix River Valley. LiLu introduced an intentionally limited, neutral palette. While at the same time, strategic pops of our client’s favorite colors and patterns create a timeless aesthetic to the space. The quiet, simplicity of the furnishings and fabrics effortlessly invite the river view inside and emphasize the clean-lined architecture built by SALA Architects. With a nod to a cozy cottage, this home offers the ideal spot to enjoy the beautiful outdoors from the comfortable indoors.
