MARGARITA BRAVOOur design studio fully renovated this beautiful 1980s home. We divided the large living room into dining and living areas with a shared, updated fireplace. The original formal dining room became a bright and fun family room. The kitchen got sophisticated new cabinets, colors, and an amazing quartz backsplash. In the bathroom, we added wooden cabinets and replaced the bulky tub-shower combo with a gorgeous freestanding tub and sleek black-tiled shower area. We also upgraded the den with comfortable minimalist furniture and a study table for the kids.

NORDIC BUILDERS - MODERN TIMBERFRAME DESIGN BUILDBelieve it or not, this was one of the cleanest the job was in a long time. The cabin was pretty tiny so not much room left when it was stocked with all of our materaisl that needed cover. But underneath it all, you can see the minimalistic pine bench. I loved how our 2 step finish made all of the grain and color pop without being shiny. Price of steel skyrocketed just before this but still wasn't too bad, especially compared to the stone I had planned before.
Installed the steel plate hearth for the wood stove. Took some hunting but found a minimalistic modern wood stove. Was a little worried when client insisted on wood stove because most are so traditional and dated looking. Love the square edges, straight lines. Wood stove disappears into the black background. Originally I had planned a massive stone gas fireplace and surround and was disappointed when client wanted woodstove. But after redeisign was pretty happy how it turned out. Got that minimal streamlined rustic farmhouse look I was going for.
The cubby holes are for firewood storage. 2 step finish method. 1st coat makes grain and color pop (you should have seen how bland it looked before) and final coat for protection.

Entering the double-height living room, the crystal, and hand-blown glass chandelier takes center stage. A traditional design with a contemporary edge, it features whimsical animals that playfully reveal themselves and can be more closely observed from the second-floor mezzanine.
A distinctive, hand-made, artisan interior, filled with custom architectural appointments; each feature crafted to reflect the individual personalities of the family.

Weninger Construction & Design LtdThe heart of Snowpeaks Lodge, the Great Room, inspires conversation and connection when family and friends gather. Innovative, attention worthy features including massive fir timbers provide a luxurious rustic setting while steel brings in a touch of industrial. Nature is invited in through view windows and natural finishes.
The Great Room is carefully situated to take advantage of expansive views of mountains, ski slopes, and vast blue sky through 20ft high stacked windows in living room. Elongated dining table runs parallel to dining room windows.
A Great Room truly integrated into the home. Double sliding patio doors open to covered deck with seating, creating indoor/outdoor space. Adjacent to main entry it welcomes guests into the home. Assessible to staircases and kitchen. Open sightlines promote communication.
WDN Architecture, LLCWDN Architecture converted empty warehouse space into a highly-detailed residential living space for a family.
UserWe were able to keep the traditional roots of this cabin while also offering it a major update. By accentuating its untraditional floor plan with a mix of modern furnishings, we increased the home's functionality and created an exciting but trendy aesthetic. A back-to-back sofa arrangement used the space better, and custom wool rugs are durable and beautiful. It’s a traditional design that looks decades younger.
