This family garden in Greenwich combines contemporary design with child-friendly use of space, provide eating, cooking, entertaining, relaxing and play spaces all in a 12x7m space. The lush green planting pops against the dark painted fencing. An outdoor kitchen includes barbeque, hob and prep space with a bar table, so that the chef can have company while he cooks. A sunken trampoline is hidden behind the built-in lounge seating, making use of the changes in level on the site to screen the play equipment. A painted wood pergola enfolds the dining area with more greenery, and a Himalayan birch grows through the louvred roof, screening the property behind, its bark providing a wonderful contrast with the colour of the woodwork.

Winning Best in Show at the Belvoir Castle Flower and Garden Show, The Rewilding Hedgerow Border saw an ancient hedge, cut down during the Dig for Victory campaign when fields and intensive farming expanded, finally reclaiming its land. Still bearing the old propaganda, felled tree stumps sat amidst the newly regrown, unkempt mixed native hedgerow. Wild clematis and honeysuckle tangled through the branches complete with nests and burrows below. A wild flower meadow sprung up on either side while wild strawberries and blackberries basked in the sun and foxgloves shone out from the shade. The border aimed to inspire visitors to let a little more ‘wild’ into their gardens, loosening our hold on nature and the beauty in biodiversity.

Colm Joseph's award-winning garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019, The Perennial Lifeline Garden, featured a classical rose garden reimagined through modern planting design as a more naturalistic, sustainable and lower maintenance 'rose meadow'. Within the rose meadow, freestanding metal screens, stone and topiary columns, and a pair of modern fountains combined to create a contemporary colonnade. Multi-stem trees added their sculptural form, framing views through the space. Bespoke limestone columns and contemporary laser-cut steel screens combined with topiary columns to form an abstracted colonnade. A modern steel fountain traversed the colonnade to allow visitors to walk underneath the cascading water. The fountain flowed into a rill that circulated through the rose meadow planting, while cantilevered limestone seats provided quiet spots for visitors to relax.

Ajardinamiento del patio delantero de casa adosada próxima a la costa. Se partía del requisito de introducir cítricos y una plumeria, así como de dejar un espacio central diáfano. Puesto que el patio está situado sobre un aparcamiento había que disponer jardineras con suficiente volumen para permitir la plantación de los árboles pero sin sobrepasar el peso capaz de soportar el forjado. Las jardineras se realizaron en ladrillo, en consonancia con la solería de barro preexistente, con volúmenes diversos para dotar de dinamismo a la composición. Finalmente se adosó un banco a las jardineras de la izquierda para ocultar una salida de extracción de humos del garage subterráneo. La selección de plantas se adaptó a las duras condiciones de salinidad del lugar.
