Boyce Design + BuildThe private home office was designed with the homeowner’s love for the outdoors in mind and incorporates a mix of modern and rustic elements. Dark blue walls and brown leather arm chairs create a masculine, moody vibe while the natural beauty of the rough sawn cedar ceiling and pops of greenery give the office a warm and cozy feeling.
Lauren Jacobsen Interior DesignThis fabulous home office was so appreciated when everything was shut down due to the virus. To the right is an outdoor pergola patio with a fireplace and slide-back doors that open the space up and extend the room. The desk is custom designed. The mortise and tenon design allows lots of openings to hide hard drives and wiring which is always the downfall of a great home office. It was a must from us as a design firm that all technology be hidden when not in use.

Studio KaimiThis room, in an early 20th century house, had been untouched for many years and our client wanted to create a functional home office with a warm atmosphere where she could display her collection of mementos.
It needed complete stripping out of existing electrics, fitted wardrobe, retro wallpapers, carpets and decorations.
New wiring to suit today’s digital needs were installed, original timber floorboards were partially sanded and oiled to retain their character.
An antique fireplace, decorative cornice and skirtings were fitted to recreate the original period architectural details.
Dark navy on the walls creates the rich and warm atmosphere which is enhanced by the light-coloured furniture and wall mounted mementos. Occasional flashes of pink create focal points in the space.
