D. Buckley DesignLindsay and her husband Geoff have a new home in Washington D.C. and needed to transform the extra room in to a space suitable for their new little addition. I was excited to take on the project, using Lindsay's beloved childhood stuffed penguin 'Pengi' as a starting point for inspiration. With an arctic-cool color palette, some great Etsy finds, and a little elbow grease, the room came together perfectly: a modern, arctic nursery for their little boy August. Complete with penguins, of course.

Our envy-worthy nursery designs are the kind that make parents-to-be want to sleep in them even before their baby is born! See why this local Nebraska couple feels at home in their new nursery.
UserThis space was converted into a nursery for a cool wee dude. The clients wanted a room soft enough for an infant but edgy enough to grow with him as he ages through toddler into the tween years. We used a contrasting color scheme by pairing a pale blue/green with charcoal grey to get the urban feel, Mom and Dad were looking for.

Iconic by Kaitlyn WolfeWe were delighted to find out a previous client of ours was expecting another baby! We were tasked to design a nursery that was calming, masculine and playful. We incorporated a curated gallery wall, ceiling mural and LED baby name sign that cannot be forgotten! Within this small space, we had to include a crib, rocking chair, changing table and daybed. We were focused on making it functional for not only the baby but also for the parents. The fur rug is not only extremely comfortable, but also machine washable - that's a win-win! The layered jute rug underneath creates visual interest and texture. The striped ottoman, black daybed and leather drawer pulls bring the masculinity to the room. We had a custom LED baby name sign made for over the crib, which can be dimmed to any brightness and is safe for children (unlike neon). Baby Andres was born on May 11th. 2020.

Best place for a nightstand is next to the glider. Need to put the bottle or the phone down, you got space. And when you're ready to turn the crib into full bed, you got your nightstand handy.
Rebekah Nicole InteriorsOur clients wanted a space-themed nursery, focusing on the message, "shoot for the stars!" for their new baby boy. We loved this concept and took it to the next level by implementing subtle details of outer space through color, texture, and other elements. Our goal was for the client to love the space and to make it versatile enough for our client's baby to use the furniture as they grow older.

Little Crown InteriorsThis boy's nursery is modern with clean lines and a masculine feel. We had to get creative with placing the furniture in this design because the room is triangular in shape. The color palette for this nursery is primarily white and gray. For a bit of contrast we added navy details throughout the room. The client fell in love with a super versatile crib in white with acrylic details. We opted for a custom dresser with a changing table tray to get the perfect fit and color. One of my favorite pieces in this space is the light-colored modern rocking chair, which is compact yet comfortable. We used mixed metallics in this space so the chrome base of the rocker ties in with gold detail on the side table. Even the cozy textured gray rug has metallic details. The storage bench with a surprise pop of color doubles as additional seating. We installed two white shelving units on both sides of the bench for a peaceful, symmetrical look and a display for decor and toys. The major statement penguin photograph was a favorite of my client! It makes for a playful artistic focal point and I love that is versatile enough to grow with the child and space.

Interior Design CambridgeThis Kids' Bedroom is truly one we are very proud of. When the client came to us with the idea of a “jungle-themed” bedroom we knew it was our chance to look into some creative wallpaper designs. We collaborated with a local artist to design this hand-drawn jungle-themed wallpaper. The furniture is customised with dark green child-friendly paint and the decor items were all sourced by us.
