This modern stunning open concept kitchen was everything our clients dreamed of and more including the statement made by the beautiful quartz backsplash. We took their small tight cluttered space and gave them a chefs kitchen with open walls and cleared counter top space. Smart and thoughtful storage was key in designing this kitchen for the needs of our client. The Fieldstone Cabinetry in a slab Tempe Simply White Cabinet includes pantry storage, corner solutions, pull out storage and thoughtful organization. The beautiful Cambria Quartz Brittanica Gold counter tops flow up the back range wall, making a stunning statement in the kitchen. Floating corner shelves give a decorative accent as well as easy access storage for everyday used items. This modern kitchen is loved by our clients and hopefully loved by you and sparks some inspiration for your kitchen remodel.

When this Tuxedo NY homeowner decided on a 2-tone, modern design, she knew she needed to recruit a professional remodeler to bring her vision to life. Finding a way to transform the whole space while still getting the luxuries she wanted like a farmhouse sink and Cambria countertops in Cambria's Torquay was no small feat. We refaced in Suede Grey and Satin White, a popular trend that adds instant interest. The mosaic blended countertop of glass and stone ties the color scheme together. New metal bar stools button up the look and add another texture. With a nod to industrial modern design, this kitchen is a show stopper!

Drewett WorksDrewett Works
With adjacent neighbors within a fairly dense section of Paradise Valley, Arizona, C.P. Drewett sought to provide a tranquil retreat for a new-to-the-Valley surgeon and his family who were seeking the modernism they loved though had never lived in. With a goal of consuming all possible site lines and views while maintaining autonomy, a portion of the house — including the entry, office, and master bedroom wing — is subterranean. This subterranean nature of the home provides interior grandeur for guests but offers a welcoming and humble approach, fully satisfying the clients requests. While the lot has an east-west orientation, the home was designed to capture mainly north and south light which is more desirable and soothing. The architecture’s interior loftiness is created with overlapping, undulating planes of plaster, glass, and steel. The woven nature of horizontal planes throughout the living spaces provides an uplifting sense, inviting a symphony of light to enter the space. The more voluminous public spaces are comprised of stone-clad massing elements which convert into a desert pavilion embracing the outdoor spaces. Every room opens to exterior spaces providing a dramatic embrace of home to natural environment. Grand Award winner for Best Interior Design of a Custom Home The material palette began with a rich, tonal, large-format Quartzite stone cladding. The stone’s tones gaveforth the rest of the material palette including a champagne-colored metal fascia, a tonal stucco system, and ceilings clad with hemlock, a tight-grained but softer wood that was tonally perfect with the rest of the materials. The interior case goods and wood-wrapped openings further contribute to the tonal harmony of architecture and materials. Grand Award Winner for Best Indoor Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home This award-winning project was recognized at the 2020 Gold Nugget Awards with two Grand Awards, one for Best Indoor/Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home, and another for Best Interior Design of a One of a Kind or Custom Home. At the 2020 Design Excellence Awards and Gala presented by ASID AZ North, Ownby Design received five awards for Tonal Harmony. The project was recognized for 1st place – Bathroom; 3rd place – Furniture; 1st place – Kitchen; 1st place – Outdoor Living; and 2nd place – Residence over 6,000 square ft. Congratulations to Claire Ownby, Kalysha Manzo, and the entire Ownby Design team. Tonal Harmony was also featured on the cover of the July/August 2020 issue of Luxe Interiors + Design and received a 14-page editorial feature entitled “A Place in the Sun” within the magazine.

Light floods this casual yet sophisticated contemporary Hamptons haven, with walls of windows allowing backyard views to dominate. White quartz countertops and pale flooring reflect light, even on overcast days. Bilotta Designer Doranne Phillips Telberg designed the flat panel doors with a horizontal grain pattern that leads the eye around the room, while the soft driftwood-toned finish complements the wooded site. Floating shelves on either side of the hood make everything visible and accessible, and provide a clear sightline to the open plan dining and living areas. The efficient layout positions the main sink in the 10’ waterfall island facing the scenery, opposite the 48” professional range. Two paneled dishwashers make quick work of cleanup. Anchoring the work triangle are integrated fridge and freezer columns, paneled to be indistinguishable from the pantry on the left. A microwave drawer sits adjacent to the refrigeration. A covered deck steps away means you’ll never be stuck indoors when it rains, and the fire pit assures outdoor living in all but the harshest weather. A wet bar with a beverage refrigerator is strategically located next to the sliding glass door, facilitating service. Another convenience is the folding window that opens out to the deck for easy delivery of food and drinks to guests. The open-concept of space keeps the house feeling free and bright! Dark cabinets with a built-in fridge are offset by a gorgeous quartz island with double waterfall edges. In this view, you can see the incredible balance in colors and the integrated range. The range has the knobs set in the wood to give a more consistent feel that helps the design instead of breaking it.
