As the daughter of Vietnamese political refugees and the first Vietnamese-American to compete at Miss USA, Hoàng-Kim's story is woven with resilience and cultural richness.
designstileslarge sailboat mobile adds a rustic, natural feel that offsets the minty wallpaper perfectly. Orange blanket, which belonged to the father, brings in a sentimental touch.
Jami AbbadessaThis couple contacted me before their little bundle of joy arrived to design their nursery. We started with what used to be a very pink little girl’s room, decorated by the previous owners, and turned it into a contemporary cozy space for their newborn. The carpet flooring was replaced with hardwood maple, a modern baseboard replaced the traditional looking ones, new closet doors with a maple frame and frosted glass inserts replaced the standard white doors and recessed lighting was added to brighten up the once dark room. The couple didn’t want the standard pink or blue nursery, but opted for a more gender neutral and modern color palette. So using my favorite base – grey – we added some foxy orange pops! The maple and grey crib and dresser are Oeuf, the orange glider came from Room and Board, the windows were covered by Room and Board as well and most of the accessories and decor was ordered on Etsy.
Joyful LivingDas Kinderzimmer sollte gut strukturiert, freundlich und gemütlich werden und keinesfalls ein klassisch rosa oder hellblaues Zimmer. So entschieden wir uns für eine Farbplatte aus Grün-, Weiß-, Grau- und Beigetönen. Es gibt große Schubladen, die viel Spielzeug aufnehmen können und gut strukturiert sind, damit man einerseits alles findet und andererseits auch schnell alles wieder aufgeräumt ist. Thema des Zimmers ist die Natur.
Ab Renov - Entreprise FamilialeRénovation en totalité (hors cuisine) d'un appartement de 70m2, suite à une première acquisition. Une dépose complète des sols ont été réalisées pour la mise en place d'un parquet en chêne massif. L'ensemble des revêtement muraux ont été refait ainsi que la salle de bain dans sa totalité.
Un accompagnement complet pour ce jeune couple s'installant dans leur premier appartement de 32 m2. De la conception au choix des équipements, nous les avons guider de A à Z afin de leur créer un endroit cosy et chaleureux. Budget 40k€ - Durée des travaux 2,5 mois
Joy Street DesignThis classic Tudor home in Oakland was given a modern makeover with an interplay of soft and vibrant color, bold patterns, and sleek furniture. The classic woodwork and built-ins of the original house were maintained to add a gorgeous contrast to the modern decor.

YouthfulNestI’m thrilled to share this no fuss, California sun and sand lifestyle inspired nursery. Our client, a real busy working mom, took advantage of YouthfulNest’s time-saving virtual design services to transform her guest room into a serene baby room.
To accomplish her vision we curated furnishings and décor in lots of white, neutrals and a few muted colors. Completing the look are pieces in natural wood finishes. Not only is this a sea glass gem, it also includes various pieces that promote superior functionality, convenience and/or safety.
We want moms and other caregivers to feel as comfortable and confident in their baby rooms as they would in any other room in their home. We believe this room exemplifies that goal.

Sherri Blum DesignsThis nursery was a Gender Surprise Nursery and was one of our most memorable designs to date. The client was having her second baby and didn't want to know the baby's gender, yet wanted to have an over-the-top, elegant royal nursery completed to her liking before she had the baby. So we designed two complete nurseries down to every detail...one for a boy and one for a girl. Then when the mom-to-be went for her ultrasound, the doctor sealed up a picture in an envelope and mailed it to our studio. I couldn't wait for the secret to be revealed and was so tickled to be the only person besides the doctor to know the gender of the baby! I opened the envelop and saw an obvious BOY in the image and got right to work ordering up all of the appropriate boy nursery furniture, bedding, wall art, lighting and decor. We had to stage most of the nursery's decor here in our studio and when the furniture was set to arrive, we drove to NJ, the family left the house, and we kicked into gear receiving the nursery furniture and installing the crib bedding, wall art, rug, and accessories down to the tiniest little detail. We completed the decorative mural around the room and when finished, locked the door behind us! We even taped paper over the windows and taped around the outside of the door so no "glow" might show through the door crack at night! The nursery would sit and wait for Mommy and baby to arrive home from the hospital. Such a fun project and so full of excitement and anticipation. When Mom and baby Luke arrived home from the hospital and she saw her nursery for the first time, she contacted me and said "the nursery is breath taking and made me cry!" I love a happy ending...don't you?
