This outdated bathroom had a large garden tub that took up to much space and a very small shower and walk in closet. Not ideal for the primary bath. We removed the tub surround and added a new free standing tub that was better proportioned for the space. The entrance to the bathroom was moved to the other side of the room which allowed for the closet to enlarge and the shower to double in size. A fresh blue pallet was used with pattern and texture in mind. Large scale 24" x 48" tile was used in the shower to give it a slab like appearance. The marble and glass pebbles add a touch of sparkle to the shower floor and accent stripe. A marble herringbone was used as the vanity backsplash for interest. Storage was the goal in this bath. We achieved it by increasing the main vanity in length and adding a pantry with pull outs. The make up vanity has a cabinet that pulls out and stores all the tools for hair care. A custom closet was added with shoe and handbag storage, a built in ironing board and plenty of hanging space. LVP was placed throughout the space to tie the closet and primary bedroom together.

This is a custom closet designed and built by Ravenwood Construction Ltd. It is 11 feet tall and 20 feet deep with cabinetry on both sides. The cabinetry is 2 feet deep with a custom tile inlay at the 6 foot mark. There are horizontal cabinets above the clothing storage with open shelving above.

Large Owner’s bathroom and closet renovation in West Chester PA. These clients wanted to redesign there bathroom with 2 closets into a new bathroom space with one large closet. We relocated the toilet to accommodate for a hallway to the bath leading past the newly enlarged closet. Everything about the new bath turned out great; from the frosted glass toilet room pocket door to the nickel gap wall treatment at the vanity. The tiled shower is spacious with bench seat, shampoo niche, rain head, and frameless glass. The custom finished double barn doors to the closet look awesome. The floors were done in Luxury Vinyl and look great along with being durable and waterproof. New trims, lighting, and a fresh paint job finish the look.

Plads i garderobeskabene er en evig kamp for de fleste. Der er aldrig rigtig plads til det hele, uanset for meget man prøver. Ekstra opbevaring kan vise sig at være en kunst, når dine garderobeskabe er fyldt til bristepunktet. Har du ikke dit eget walk in, kender du sikker til problemet med at dine klædeskabe lige pludselig føles meget mindre, efter du kommer hjem fra en shoppetur. Heldigvis findes der mange smarte løsninger på hvordan du kan få mere plads! Er pladsen i dit skab brugt, har du måske brug for opbevaringskasser til det tøj, der er uden for sæson, eller du kan udvide din skabsplads, hvis rummet har størrelsen til det.

Hvordan får jeg mere plads til mit tøj?

Er du løbet tør for plads, er det tid til at tænke kreativt. Den simple løsning er at købe et større skab, men det er ikke altid at pladsen tillader det. Sørg altid for at udnytte pladsen i højden. Går dit garderobeskab ikke helt op til loftet, kan du med fordel stille opbevaringsbokse derop, med de ting du ikke bruger dagligt. Er den plads allerede i brug, kan du tage et kig under sengen. Du kan få kasser i mange forskellige højder, så du kan finde en løsning, men mindre din seng går helt ned til gulvet. Bedrollers er en meget populær løsning i danske hjem, da de giver hurtig adgang, og alle kan nå dem. Desuden udmærker de sig som skoopbevaring, som også kan være et problem for mange. Har du mod på at gå lidt mere avanceret til værks, kan du også overveje at skifte de traditionelle skabslåger ud med skydelåger. Så tager dit skab lidt mindre plads, og giver mulighed for at have et stort spejl på en af lågerne.

Hvordan indretter jeg et walk-in closet?

Har du et ekstra værelse eller et opbevaringsrum, kan du ret enkelt indrette det som et walk-in closet. Der er tre vigtige elementer til et godt walk in: lys, tøjopbevaring, og spejl. Det bedste er naturligt lys, da det giver den mest sande farve. Har du ikke muligheden for det, skal du sørge for at have hvidt lys, som spots eller LED - vær dog lidt forsigtig, da spots kan blænde, hvis loftet er for lavt. Selve opbevaringen til dit tøj bærer essensen af et walk-in closet. Der er mange måder at gøre det på, men de fleste vælger en løsning hvor tøjet bliver fremvist, når man kommer træder ind. Enten i skabe med glaslåger og belysning, eller på et helt simpelt tøjstativ. Du skal kunne sammensætte hele dit outfit, så stil et gerne skostativ derind, så dine sko ikke er gemt væk, eller står i entréen. Når du skal ud, har du også brug for et spejl. Et gulv spejl, hvor du kan se både sko og hår er den bedste løsning. Her må funktionalitet gerne fylde mere end design, så det behøver ikke være dyrt.
