May Construction, Inc.. A frosted shower and one sink vanity screamed outdated, in its place now stands a gorgeous marble encased shower. Two handy niches now make storing his/her favorite body wash or shampoo easy. Creating a striking contrast against the white marble and white walls are Brazilian slate tiles that cascade across the entire chevron patterned bathroom floor to the square shower pan.
Cathie Hong InteriorsThis 1956 John Calder Mackay home had been poorly renovated in years past. We kept the 1400 sqft footprint of the home, but re-oriented and re-imagined the bland white kitchen to a midcentury olive green kitchen that opened up the sight lines to the wall of glass facing the rear yard. We chose materials that felt authentic and appropriate for the house: handmade glazed ceramics, bricks inspired by the California coast, natural white oaks heavy in grain, and honed marbles in complementary hues to the earth tones we peppered throughout the hard and soft finishes. This project was featured in the Wall Street Journal in April 2022.

Studio 76 Kitchens and BathsThis custom shower base was remodeled using Wedi board which was cut to recieve porcelain tile in a unique joint pattern that conformed to the board's angles, allowing sufficient flow to the center drain.

Neil Kelly CompanyThe only full bathroom in this 1906 craftsman home needs to function well for a family of four. We swapped out a claw foot tub for a large walk-in shower with a recessed shower curtain track. Two wall-mounted faucets pour into a wide trough sink. A custom-made medicine cabinet with an arched mirror is flanked by two opaque globe sconce lights.
Dea ContractorThis bathroom was original to the house. We wanted to create a mid century modern feel so we knocked down the wall between the vanity and the shower and replaced it with a glass door. To make the space feel larger we extend the hexagon tiles from the bathroom all along the back wall. Shelves were added to increase storage space and of course all materials, fixtures and cabinets were updated.
