Building On Favorites: Rebecca describes her fashion aesthetic as “sexy tomboy,” and her interior style has the same DNA. She doesn’t go overtly feminine or traditional (she had zero interest in chintz). Rebecca dreamed of achieving true comfort and a warm modernism for her family’s home, which meant the design bull’s-eye for this project was anything in the midcentury vein, anything made in radiant woods, anything that had striking, Pop-y contrasts or the ability to layer beautifully.

Zoe Willis DesignThis townhouse in East Dulwich was newly built in sympathy with its Georgian neighbours. An imposing building set over four stories, the owners described their home as a ‘white box’, requiring full design and dressing.
The brief was to create defined spaces on each floor that reflected the owner’s bold tastes and appreciation of the Soho House aesthetic. A ‘club’ style den was created on the raised ground floor with a ‘speakeasy pub’ in the basement off the main entertaining space. The master suite in the eaves, housed a walk in wardrobe, ensuite with double sinks and shower. Throughout the home bold colour, varied textures and playful art were abundant.
Vanessa Rhodes InteriorsThis was a true ‘escape to the country’ for its new owners who had been used to Leeds city centre life. They wanted a country house with attitude; a modern take on country living. This was achieved through interior design using a mix of both period & mid-century furniture together with quirky furnishing & upholstery fabric. Vintage and modern artworks provided the finishing touches to their new home.
