Cathie Hong InteriorsThis 1956 John Calder Mackay home had been poorly renovated in years past. We kept the 1400 sqft footprint of the home, but re-oriented and re-imagined the bland white kitchen to a midcentury olive green kitchen that opened up the sight lines to the wall of glass facing the rear yard. We chose materials that felt authentic and appropriate for the house: handmade glazed ceramics, bricks inspired by the California coast, natural white oaks heavy in grain, and honed marbles in complementary hues to the earth tones we peppered throughout the hard and soft finishes. This project was featured in the Wall Street Journal in April 2022.
Jetton Construction, Inc.A whole house renovation and second story addition brought this unique 1950s home into a mid-century modern vernacular. Light-filled interior spaces mix with new filtered views, and the new master bedroom is surprising in its “tree house” feel.

G.B. Construction and Development, Inc.This studio apartment has a combo sleeping area, living area and kitchenette. Large windows on both sides of the room allow ample natural light giving the room a spacious airy feel. The ceiling beam adds visual interest as well as defines the spaces.

The built-in display wall behind the headboard adds architectural interest as well as surface for the owners art collections. the ceiling details bring attention to the starting ceilings.
Mirror VisualsThis 19th-century loft has been converted into a living space, panelled walls,
cast-iron columns and industrial-style glazing. Simple brick walls and concrete ceiling are preserved and restored, as are the original iron columns. These are complemented by new material finishes that include oak herringbone flooring, and white paintwork. Instead of opaque walls, industrial-style steel and glass partitions divide up rooms, therefore these allow plenty of light to enter, helping to give a light and airy feel to the interiors. 2
