Prime Hardwood Floors of Los AngelesWe had the honor of working with Jessica Today Design on this sitting area and staircase for the 2017 Pasadena Showcase House of Design. Du Bois - Nathalie engineered hardwood floors, by The Garrison Collection, were installed to help execute Jessica's vision for the space.
Jessica's Design Concept:
"The house was built in 1916 by prominent architectural firm Marston and Van Pelt. In keeping with the English Tudor style of the house, I really wanted the design to capture a classic English look. So the walls were painted a dark gray, the red carpet was replaced with hardwood flooring, and the chunky wooden handrail was replaced with an airy metal railing finished in a dark patina. The overall colors mimic that of an English landscape. I finished the space with more traditional decor - a vintage French armchair, a gallery of classic portraits and old books that I discovered at a flea market."

COLOR LABEL DESIGN OFFICE / 殿村明彦外界とを繋ぐ 彦根安清東の家 滋賀県彦根市にある築24年の分譲マンション。部屋は細かく分断されており部屋の明かりが部屋の壁で届かなくなっており、 けして住みやすく日中明るい家とは言えない物件でした。 そこで、今回のプロジェクトでCOLOR LABEL DESIGN OFFICEが提案したのが、 開放的で家族が集える自然光がたくさん差し込む住まいでした。 既存の天井はすべて取り払い天井高を確保。 躯体のコンクリートをそのままこの家のデザインの一部にしました。 家具や照明はヴィンテージのものを選び、コンクリートの荒々しさや年月の風合いと調和するようにコーディネートしました。 Design : 殿村 明彦 (COLOR LABEL DESIGN OFFICE)

Maynard StudiosMatthew and Karine Maynard are designers,
blacksmiths and artists who use metal and
architectural space as their media. As a husband and
wife team, they specialize in hand-forged custom stair
rails, furniture and applied design. Their work has
been featured in international periodicals, given
prominence by the National Ornamental Misc. Metals
Association and the Artist Blacksmiths Association of
North America. Their larger commissions are primarily
installed in private residences throughout the Midwest
and southern United States, but smaller works reside
in homes and businesses from California to Italy.
Each element of their work reflects their professional
attention to aesthetic detail, design and function with
a focus on quality over quantity.
"We work closely with our clients throughout the
design process and look forward to collaborating with
them and creating something that will last for
generations to come".
Clémence Jeanjan Décoratrice d'intérieurMon client, récent propriétaire de cet appartement au centre ville de Rouen, a fait appel à Miss In Situ pour l'aider à concevoir un aménagement et une décoration aux lignes masculines. Nous avons retravaillé l'ensemble des pièces.
Nous avons retravaillé l'ensemble du sol de la pièce à vivre, sous la moquette désuète, le parquet massif ancien redonne à cet espace toute son authenticité. Pour mettre en valeur la cheminée en marbre et créer du volume, nous avons peint le mur d'appui dans un bleu profond.
L'ensemble de la décoration a été agrémentée par les nombreux beaux objets vintage de notre client.
