Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignThe front areas of this landscape were transformed from a tired, water thirsty lawn into a contemporary setting with dramatic concrete pavers leading to the home's entrance and a new driveway using large concrete slabs with small black pebbles set in resin. Plants for sun and part shade complete this project. They include Bulbine frutescens 'Hallmark', a non-stop bloomer in northern california with orange/yellow flowers, with Creeping Raspberry (Rubus pentalobus) a tough ground covers that forms a dense matt. Elfin thyme ground cover softens the concrete pathway, and mondo grass on other side of pathway with a Japanese Maple tree accented with Mexican pebbles. Completed in February 2014. Garden Gate LandscapingA modern ranch style home with a very generous front walk and entry garden. Rustic pavers are disbursed with Pa. flagstone paving. Night lighting leads the way for evening visitors. Annual and perennials add color amongst the trees and shrubs.

This is a lakeside landscape design. This landscape plan included A paver patio, block retaining wall, landscape lighting, new sod, flagstone walkway, grading, mulch, and new plantings. We also relandscaped the front yard.
The Garden Artist LLCSelected by the Lunaria League and Idaho Botanical Gardens for the 2012 Garden Tour. My customer wanted a garden full of sedums. The Yucca and the Bristlecone Pine add vertical interest. The water feature/fire pit adds a unique element to the landscape. The sitting area around the fire feature is built from natural stone, accented with tile that matches the reflecting pool structure.

A disappearing water feature can be created using almost any vessel you can imagine. These features are perfect for small courtyards, front yards, or commercial properties where liability is a concern. They are a great way to 'get your feet wet' with water features without the commitment of a pond. We have created fountainscapes using urns, ceramic vases, natural stone columns, even a concrete cowboy boot! The water fills up the vessel and then spills over, disppearing into a bed of decorative gravel. the water is then recirculated through the feature again and again.
