Simply Put Interiors
I refer to this dining room as "Traditional with a Twist" because the foundation of the design is Traditional and layered with some unexpected surprises.
The gold damask wallpaper is the backdrop on which an abstract painting is hung. I layered a funky shag rug over a natural fiber rug, both rugs playing into the gold and silver palette. Gray & gold silk drapery panels are board-mounted. They help to soften the room but not hide the view.
This space needed a lot of TLC and I hope you agree, the results are stunning.

This open dining area is the center of the hub of this house designed for entertaining. It is located just off the kitchen and adjacent to the bar, living, and outdoor covered patio with open light well. At the far end of the dining area the arched alcove to the right houses a prized canvassed photo from this couples Africa trip. The archway to the left leads to the laundry/powder bath area.
Lumar Interiors
This stunning custom build home is nestled on a picturesque tree-lined street in Oakville. We met the clients at the beginning stages of designing their dream home. Their objective was to design and furnish a home that would suit their lifestyle and family needs. They love to entertain and often host large family gatherings.
Clients wanted a more transitional look and feel for this house. Their previous house was very traditional in style and décor. They wanted to move away from that to a much more transitional style, and they wanted a different colour palette from the previous house. They wanted a lighter and fresher colour scheme for this new house.
Collaborating with Dina Mati, we crafted spaces that prioritize both functionality and timeless aesthetics.
