Marker Girl HomeThis kid friendly breakfast nook. Done in Navy and Grey. Navy vinyl cushion with throw pillows in outdoor fabrics to coordinate. The chandelier was repainted in white to give her new home a fresher look. Roman shade create a fun pattern to pull it all together. Artwork was purchased from Etsy a personalized chalkboard calendar to help keep this busy Mom organized

China Furniture and ArtsThe frame of the mirror was appropriated from an antique Chinese bed frame. Together with the classic Ming style elm wood cabinet, they echo a fine tradition of Asian furniture and art.

Simply Home DecoratingIn this serene family home we worked in a palette of soft gray/blues and warm walnut wood tones that complimented the clients' collection of original South African artwork. We happily incorporated vintage items passed down from relatives and treasured family photos creating a very personal home where this family can relax and unwind. First LampThis Greenlake area home is the result of an extensive collaboration with the owners to recapture the architectural character of the 1920’s and 30’s era craftsman homes built in the neighborhood. Deep overhangs, notched rafter tails, and timber brackets are among the architectural elements that communicate this goal.
Given its modest 2800 sf size, the home sits comfortably on its corner lot and leaves enough room for an ample back patio and yard. An open floor plan on the main level and a centrally located stair maximize space efficiency, something that is key for a construction budget that values intimate detailing and character over size.
The Green Room InteriorsThis dining room update was part of an ongoing project with the main goal of updating the 1990's spaces while creating a comfortable, sophisticated design aesthetic. New pieces were incorporated with existing family heirlooms.
Meadowlark Design+BuildThis great room was designed so everyone can be together for both day-to-day living and when entertaining. This custom home was designed and built by Meadowlark Design+Build in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Photography by Joshua Caldwell.
Meadowlark Design+BuildA ground floor remodel creating larger, more functional rooms without increasing the property's actual size. Meadowlark incorporated custom cabinetry solutions that not only added to the flow of the rooms but also added storage and purpose.
Breathe Design StudioOur Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.
