Sean Symington DesignI was asked to put together a concept for an ‘Asian street food’ restaurant in North London. My client wanted me to push myself to the limit by incorporating a plethora of pattern and colour. Sensory overload. From initial concept to completion, this project pushed me creatively into thinking about cuisine and branding alongside longevity and atmosphere. The goal was to strike the right balance between “street” and elegant, whilst also incorporating an Eastern flare. The result is a restaurant under a bridge packed full of pattern and whimsy. A fun, hip place to gather, dine and drink.
Hurren ArchitectsThis is a separate Formal Dining area is situated just off the entrance hall via the double glass doors and linked to the kitchen down a small flight of steps. The timber floorboards and wall colour create a lovely sense of warmth and a separation from the tiled entrance hall.
Davis Tamburin Inc.The dining room is formal and floral. We used a beautiful royal red damask patterned fabric for the uphosltered chairs and for the drapery, a beautiful gold silk. The bay window boasts a great inlaid server. Over top of the dining table hangs a Russian Crystal chandelier.

Gianluca Castorino ArchitettoL’assetto planimetrico di questo immobile degli anni Cinquanta viene completamente rivisto. La gestione degli spazi, così come la scelta dei materiali e delle soluzioni d’arredo, interpretano il desiderio di un ambiente moderno, luminoso e ampio, oltre a precise richieste distributive improntate alla funzionalità.
Il tratto caratterizzante della riprogettazione è l’accostamento di elementi in armonico contrasto. I tappeti persiani si specchiano nelle lampade di design, il freddo del pavimento in resina bianco-argentea si stempera con i rivestimenti in pelle e in legno. La parete in legno, in particolare, si pone come elemento di continuità oltre che di separazione. Mantiene l’intimità della zona notte e al tempo stesso introduce dall’ingresso alla zona living, grazie all’effetto prospettico restituito dal suo posizionamento.
