Western Window SystemsWhen a soft contemporary style meets artistic-minded homeowners, the result is this exquisite dwelling in Corona del Mar from Brandon Architects and Patterson Custom Homes. Complete with curated paintings and an art studio, the 4,300-square-foot residence utilizes Western Window Systems’ Series 600 Multi-Slide doors and windows to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. In one instance, the retractable doors open to an outdoor courtyard. In another, they lead to a spa and views of the setting sun. Photos by Jeri Koegel.
Culin & Colella, Inc.This is a curved wall of bookcases and cabinetry for a cherry library. The dentil moulding was custom made to fit the spacing of the room. The books are all antique.

Kathryne Designs, IncThe Library features custom wood panels and classical architectural details throughout. The doorway is marked by a carved, wood, classical temple font. There are built-in bookshelves and cornice molding along the perimeter of the ceiling. The sofa is leather, and button tufted and is accompanied by a leather armchair. The chandelier is iron and glass.

Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co.Living room with built-in custom cabinets and ethanol-fuel vertical fireplace to the left of the entertainment cabinet. Floor is made of porcelain tile that looks like wood. Porcelain tile conducts heat more efficiently than wood.
ChangoThis is the informal den or family room of the home. Slipcovers were used on the lighter colored items to keep everything washable and easy to maintain. Coffee tables were replaced with two oversized tufted ottomans in dark gray which sit on a custom made beige and cream zebra pattern rug. The lilac and white wallpaper was carried to this room from the adjacent kitchen. Dramatic linen window treatments were hung on oversized black wood rods, giving the room height and importance.
