Pineapple House Interior Design
Our client wanted to convert her craft room into a luxurious, private lounge that would isolate her from the noise and activity of her house. The 9 x 11 space needed to be conducive to relaxing, reading and watching television. Pineapple House mirrors an entire wall to expand the feeling in the room and help distribute the natural light. On that wall, they add a custom, shallow cabinet and house a flatscreen TV in the upper portion. Its lower portion looks like a fireplace, but it is not a working element -- only electronic candles provide illumination. Its purpose is to be an interesting and attractive focal point in the cozy space.

Detail of tile niche, granite mantle, and new ultra hi-def TV.
Simulated wood-grain tile is from Italy and is 8" high x 48" long. Vertical metal edging hides hides the tile edges. Granite mantle helps to deflect heat from the fireplace away from the TV. Granite is "Absolute Black", 2cm thickness.
Speaker in foreground is a KEF brand passive subwoofer, powered by an amp housed in the recessed gear rack.

This custom home is derived from Chinese symbolism. The color red symbolizes luck, happiness and joy in the Chinese culture. The number 8 is the most prosperous number in Chinese culture. A custom 8 branch tree is showcased on an island in the pool and a red wall serves as the background for this piece of art. The home was designed in a L-shape to take advantage of the lake view from all areas of the home. The open floor plan features indoor/outdoor living with a generous lanai, three balconies and sliding glass walls that transform the home into a single indoor/outdoor space.

We converted the erstwhile formal dining room in this residence to a multipurpose room. True to its name, it function as an office, guest room, music room, prayer room and an extension of the living room when the pocket doors are open.
The daybed shown here opens into a very comfortable king-sized bed. The builts in along the window hide the unsightly and yellowed out AC, while creating storage and a place to comfortably sit and read a book with a view to enjoy. The custom seat cushions are silver in a faux leather material. with a modern and linear construction.
On the opposite wall, we have designed a desk niche to create a home office. The pocket doors close if privacy is needed.
