This one story bungalow is not far from Emory, and the client brought a European sensibility and love of antiques. We began this room with the rug, a hand-knotted Persian in cinnamon, Tuscan red, and ebony accents. Building up from the rug, we added an inviting curved leather sofa in caramel with nail head trim. The club chairs are upholstered in a luxurious chenille with patterning that mirrors the rug but in a larger scale. The TV is concealed in the Marge Carson entertainment center with classical corinthian pilasters. The cocktail table was selected for it's elegance and unique shape. The oval end table with inlay and tea table by the club chair in the far corner both have a British influence. The artwork is a mix of framed personal pieces and add-ons.
The room is great for entertaining or enjoying an evening at home with a movie and her two dogs.

the Chinese red armoire is the focal point in this cozy contemporary living space.
Studio Dean
Originally this space had open banisters on either side of the staircase. We removed all the banisters, built a solid wall in the kitchen area and created a bespoke design that we had our joiner create on the living room side. We wanted to make a real design feature of this wall, so we created a mix of vertical and horizontal wooden panels some sitting behind and some sitting in front, using the 2 main wall colours in the space. It was important for us to disguise the stairs enough but to also allow light in from the kitchen and create a practical but beautiful shelf element. The green, blacks and burnt orange in the textiles create a lovely colour pop and an added aspect to the design.

this client owns a Victorian Home in Essex county NJ and asked me to design a fireplace surround that was appropriate for the space and hid the television. The mirror you see in the photo is actually a 2-way mirror and if you look closely at the center section of the mantle, the remote speaker for the TV is built in. The fretwork pattern adds a lovely detail and the super columns (column on top of column) fit perfectly in the design scheme.
